My experience with my girlfriend and her family on Tuesday 2/4 for her nephews bday was absolutely horrible. At first, there was only one bartender available to serve us which I understood would mean it’d take sum time to serve us after taking care of bar patrons. She had us split into 2 groups of 4 which we had no problem with it. What I didn’t expect was to wait close to 1 hour for a modelo and for the rest of the other 7 patrons to wait on two chocolate milks and like 4 doctor peppers. To start, the bartender had a horrible attitude and seemed like we were a burden to serve when there was almost nobody even there. We came at 4 on Tuesday and were met with possibly the worst service I’ve ever had to experience at any restaurant. When the bartender came to our tables, the first thing to come out was “are you ready”? When we didn’t even have any menus. After of course, we asked for menus and then the bartender dropped the menus with a big attitude and simply walked off for like 10-15 mins before coming back and then taking the first 4 people’s orders and ignoring my 4 person table after I asked simply “please bring the beer out first since we aren’t ready to order food from the eat and play combo yet”. Easily she could’ve just brought my beer out first, and then once my portion of table was ready to order she could ring said modelo in. Instead, she says after I ask for this “so you aren’t ready yet”, in maybe one of if not the most disrespectful tone I’ve heard from a bartender/server ever if I’m being honest. And then after she takes our order 10 mins later. After that, once the other section of our group had already eaten, they finally receive their dr. Peppers. And after that they go off to play while my group of 4 is still waiting on food and I’m still waiting on a single beer. During which, the other half of the table is out playing games we finally receive our food. Now, the only highlight is that our food came out great and it was very enjoyable, however by the time the rest of my party has used all their chips to play, my group is still eating and I had to ask the manager to bring us silverware, limes, and a garlic toast which I ordered previously with the bartender which she forgot as she didn’t bring a single food item to either table. After we had already finished eating between both tables, is when this “bartender” finds it best to check on us. Which didn’t matter in the slightest s because anything we already needed was already taken care of by the manager, not the bartender. And to make matters even worse, said bartender was mad I didn’t leave a tip after telling her to keep the change on our tab, she came back all rude and said “here’s your chance” after we explicitly told her to keep it. She absolutely ruined our experience and my gf’s sister’s son bday and still expects a tip? Idk what’s going on here but this was easily the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever faced when going to any bar and arcade and I hope they can find a way to not ruin another kids birthday. Especially a bday for a kid who has a chronic illness and the number of future bdays...
Read moreUnfortunately, I have to downgrade my review from a 5 to a 3. My original review is below this update. I returned with my family a few weeks after our first visit. We saw the specials for Eat Play combos and they looked like a pretty good deal. They offer it Monday though Thursday all day and up until 5 pm on Friday and Saturday. You can order from 17 entrees between $18-23 and get a $10 play card. For $8 more, you could upgrade to a $20 card. The restaurant is huge with many different segments of eating areas. When we went on a Sunday mid-afternoon and I would guess it was about 25% full.
From the hostess to the wait staff, service was slow. Our waitress was very nice but seemed to be confused and overwhelmed at points so she wasn't as attentive. I didn't want to give her a hard time because from the look things, I assumed she recently started working or was newly hired at D&B... or both.
Our kids were hungry so we ordered their meal first... Chicken tenders with fries. We ordered our meals about 10 minutes later. We waited another 10 minutes for the food until the kids started getting cranky. I asked their uncle to walk them around to distract them until the food came. A minute or two later, their meal came out. Usually when I order chicken tenders at a restaurant, I cut them up to cool them off because they're hot out of the oven/fryer. Both the tenders and the fries were lukewarm. The kids were hangry so I told my bro to bring them back so they could eat.
Minutes later, the waitress came back and I complained about the food so she offered to have them remade which was nice. The rest of the orders came out shortly after. The fries for one of the other meals were just as tepid. My brother said that his sandwich tasted good and had no issue with the temperature. When the kids' food came out again, it was slightly warmer than originally served. Not sure if the food runners weren't paying attention that day or if the kitchen didn't heat the food well enough. I would rate the food quality as mediocre.
I am not sure if I'd give the restaurant a chance again. However, we'll definitely be back for the arcade.
::Original review:: My 4 and 6 year old loved it. Dave & Buster's was "the biggest arcade they ever saw." I actually didn't know this was here until we went to see Santa at the Fashion Outlets. I have no clue when they opened but the games look brand new and the space is super clean. We spent $10 and played games for just under an hour. We got enough tickets for each of them to get a mini squishy. They have a huge sports bar and plenty of TVs with games on. They have daily specials and a happy hour as well. I could see myself back here with and without...
Read moreUpdated review: 5/2024. Love the new update. I haven't had a chance to try the new dart bays but they look cool and fun. The employees are super friendly and helpful. The food got much better. In the time since my last review we had one of my kids birthday parties there and it went flawlessly thanks to the wonderful staff. The Wi-Fi is still slow other than that get here. It's a good Time
Well it started off great. We were all having a great time. Food was excellent service was great until we tried to do VR. we were a group of 4. We swiped and sat down. Here is where the problems began. My daughters headset was broken and we waited 10 minutes for the guy to go in the back and to come out with nothing. While this was going on my brothers headset would not fit right. On inspection his headset was broke. They said we would have to go 2 at a time and we refused. My brother asked for his money back and one of the stellar employees replied "you want a refund when YOU broke the headset". This was customer service at its worst. We immediately spoke to the manager who apologized and offered us refunds for our VR and credited us $15 a person in play tokens. We accepted the tokens but it does not excuse the behavior of this employee. I really like this place and I hope they ended up disciplining this employee so he does not treat anyone else like how my brother was treated.
Update. Well the refresh of the bar area looks great. I can't wait to try the dart game. My only complaint this time was that the WiFi was super slow and when I used my phone to tap it would make the noise like it accepted it then it didn't actually. So I would tap again. Then all of a sudden the app and the game finally would sync and I would have multiple credits on the game and credits taken out of my account. Super frustrating. I hope they get...
