TL;DR "The food was amazing and the efficient restaurant team there made for impressively smooth service. This was another great Michigan Experience!"
FULL (Humorously Lengthy) Review What Follows is My Review of My Excellent Experience at Stevensville, MI, US - Culver's Restaurant on Thursday evening, 2024.03.07.
Out of all my Google reviews I have completed, this was the first establishment that earned 5/5 in every category. Overall, Food, Service, and Atmosphere were 5/5 on this day! All other reviews had at least one "4/5" at best. Go, Culvers!
I describe the experience that day, followed by the food I loved. Then I share the golden moment - the efficient atmosphere - and future plans.
😀⚕️😀THE EXPERIENCE THAT DAY
🇺🇸Now, about the actual service and cleanliness of this Stevensville, MI, US, Culvers - both 100%. They had a bewildering long line when I entered at 5PM. Bemused, I started reviewing my iPhone. Happily, I was shocked and joyfully surprised that the line was processed and I was ordering at a rate that was at least 500% faster than I would have expected! The popular restaurant served the inflow of customers with efficiency. I was impressed and grateful I was eating in about 10 minutes.😀
🇬🇧They banged through that queue line!😀
The young man who served me at the register was one of many of the efficient, organized, and clean high-performing many-person Culver team members. His fellow coworkers certainly helped him out! But they all created a tremendous synergy about the effectiveness of this restaurant's food science. I tipped him my normal amount, ate some fries and took my food home.
Again, this is a fabulous restaurant.
🐟🧀🫙🍟THE FOOD I LOVED
I present what I ordered and if I liked each of the 4 different items,
1 North Atlantic Cod Sandwich😍 1 medium Wisconsin Cheese Curds 4 Boom Boom Sauce 1 medium Crinkle Cut Fries
🐟The North Atlantic Cod Sandwich was succulent, flaky, tender, juicy, and with a crunchy amount of lettuce and epic bun. Utterly superb fish sandwich, here! Possible lifetime fish sandwich favorite.
Cheese curds were just really tasty. Much more of a rich comfort food than a mozzarella stick - which is saying a lot! 😀
Boom Boom sauce it is just a spicy, tangy really nice sauce. I ordered too much. 2 is plenty.
Crinkle cut fries. Wow - the most simple, yet so perfect fry. Culver's really has the fry-time and light oil consistency down to some kind of science. With fancy fries the rage these days, the simple fry masters crunchy exterior with soft interior and the crinkle cut texture is the necessary icing on the cake. Simple perfection.
🥇😀🥇THE GOLDEN MOMENT - The Efficient Atmosphere
I must conclude this section with the marvelous, orchestrated team. They were like a symphony of restaurant, cleaning, cooking, serving, employees Kudos to that team there mastering food service efficiency.
🇺🇸I marvelled at all the sub-teams of food service workers - some cooking, some taking orders, some taking orders out to vehicles, some cleaning, some replenishing beverages in the lobby, some working the drive-thru orders - all working in efficient and friendly unison. Tonight Culver’s was slammed with a large number of customers flooding in at dinner time, but the restaurant -- with efficient cooking line, service, team cooperation, and cleanliness -- felt like like relatively no wait. And the food was the best! Way to go Culver’s for keeping it clean and marvelously efficient!😀
The restaurant has decorations and plaques to one side. In the middle has clean tables and diverse beverage selection. Very beautifully clean. Thank goodness!
Definitely a repeat. Likely mostly the same meal.😀
2.. Likely DINE THERE Imperatively eat all of your food hot! The restaurant is clean and spacious. The food is literally the best hot - at Culver's this is true more than any other restaurant chain I know of. Dine at the restaurant! Next time I will aim to do eat the food fresh n'...
Read moreThe woman who rang me up was a heavy set lady, maybe in her 40s, auburn/red hair, she almost looked like the oldest person working there. I paid with 100 bill, she marked it with the counterfeit indicator pen, put it up to the light, stared at it, looked perplexed, marked it a second time (it still didn't turn because it wasn't fake) she put the bill up to the light AGAIN stared looking confused. My daughter asked me what she was doing because it was taking a long time, she kept aggressively blinking and changing the angle of the bill like the strip in a new 100 bill is that hard to see or the pen mark wasn't tan like it should be (the employee is white, we're black) I said she's extra, extra, extra, extra, extra checking to be sure that it's real as I stared at the woman wondering if she knows how the indicator pen works, or that her behavior was insulting. She didn't like that my explanation made her look how she was acting, so she explained what the pen was for to my daughter (like me saying shes checking to see if its real with an emphasis on extra wasn't summing up her ridiculous behavior) THEN after an uncomfortable giggle she said they have a machine that checks for counterfeit but she doesn't use it. SHE NEEDS TO USE IT because EVERYTHING she was doing was so off-putting it was like she was confused as to why the marker wasn't turning color. Why does my 100 bill have to be fake? I worked retail, never marked a bill twice, or held the bill up to the light twice like I have vision issues, and if she can't see she needs to be forced to use the machine by management. People like her make people uncomfortable and not want...
Read moreLove Culver’s but had a pretty bad experience at this one. We went on a Sunday in July so it was pretty crowded, and long line for drive through (but totally expected that). They have some new policies implemented for safety, which forms a weird traffic pattern, and has you order at a temporary set up station before the real window.
It was totally chaotic, cars were trying to butt in and out of the traffic pattern which wasn’t marked super clearly. When we got to the temporary window, we got waved ahead to keep driving. At the real window, the cashier kept reciting back someone else’s order to us, and between the masks and plexiglass screen, took us about two mins of yelling and miming back and forth to get her to understand we hadn’t ordered, to which she said okay well then get back in line very rudely and started to close the window on us!
We were like wait no please we just waited 20 min... and we also didn’t move the car, so she opened back up the window, begrudgingly took our order, handed us a number and slammed it shut before we could ask if we should pull forward, or over to the parking area where some other cars were. Hate to judge a place by an experience where they were clearly super busy and trying to adapt to a new normal, but between the rudeness and the fact that our order came out completely wrong (they sent us shakes instead of concrete mixers, and had not a single topping right in either one), I was really disappointed in...
