Dance Arts — Local services in Lincoln Charter Township

We chose Dance Arts for our girls several years ago because we knew Sarah and Rhonda’s faith guided their business practices and it would be a safe environment. We loved the focus on developing personal integrity and responsibility while still learning to be creative and have fun. There is a heavy emphasis on safety, healthy body image, proper technique and professionalism. There is no over-sexualizing children with moves or costumes.The instructors are passionate about sharing their craft as an art form. We are impressed with the pedagogy encouraged at Dance Arts and how they are preparing the next generation to step into leadership roles. We’ve only done a fraction of them, but they offer a lot of options, several genres of dance and many ways to try new things, whether it’s learning to teach, summer camps, worship team, travel & competitions, extra productions, adult classes, giving back to the community, etc. Dance can be an expensive activity and as parents, we appreciate how reasonable they try to keep their prices while maintaining high standards, and how there is encouragement and opportunities but never pressure or guilt placed on a child for not being able to afford certain things. They keep costs low for families by only doing big recitals every other year but still offering visiting weeks, informals and mini recitals so parents always know what their dancers have been learning and can celebrate with them. Our oldest daughter is in her 6th year of dance now and the discipline and character development she is gaining makes it a worthwhile investment regardless of where she goes with dance in the future. We love the Dance Arts family and can not recommend them...

Dance Arts is a wonderful family owned dance studio! I took my first class here when I was a senior in high school and fell in love with dance even more because of them. I tried taking dance at a different dance studio a couple years later that was closer to my house, but decided to go back to Dance Arts the next year because of so many reasons! It was worth that extra few minute drive. Dance Arts is so much better in my opinion, night and day difference for me and my experience. Something that I really enjoy about Dance Arts ia that everyone makes you feel welcome there and they include everyone, no matter your experience with dance or skill level. Dance is an art and they have a positive approach and attitude all the way around!...

Dance arts has been a wonderful second family since my childhood. Their commitment to excellence goes beyond dance training to also focus on building character. They care about their students individually. They teach perseverance, integrity, selflessness, self-care, compassion, and so much more! I love how they blend their passion for dance with their passion to reflect God’s love in every day life! After years away, it was an easy decision to return to Dance Arts for adult classes, where I can continue learning, exercising, and spending time with wonderful people...
