Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Lincoln

The waiter that had began to serve us walked out 10-15 minutes after we ordered drinks and food which he didn’t even write down or take note. Had waited 10 minutes to get drinks minus a margarita which we waited another 20 minutes for after having to ask another waiter where it was (she was a nice blonde middle aged lady and could tell she was exhausted yet trying to serve people) but by the time it came it came in a beer tap glass even though we saw others before and after we received ours in a margarita glass. Then by the time 2 of 3 appetizers came out the Caesar salad was drenched in the dressing almost being enough to make you sick. We had still waited another 10ish minutes for the other appetizer being honey bbq boneless wings which when they first came out we were served buffalo boneless wings and it was like warm but the female blonde waiter was nice enough to let us take the food back and get the right kind, but by the time that was we still were served the wrong wings and given plain bbq ones. By this point we had started getting the entrees in which were the chicken Alfredo fettuccine another chicken and pasta dish and a grilled chicken with side of mashed potatoes. The food ranged from luke warm to cold, the breadsticks were over cooked stiff and chewy, the side of mashed potatoes was a very small portion compared to the table beside us who had the same thing, then were also not given any knives to cut the meat. The burger and fries we ordered with request of no onions or the jalapeño sweet and spicy sauce got served with both on it and we were able to get it remade which regret doing that because it took another 15-20 for it to comes out luckily boxed up since we were already boxing up the rest of the food. During the whole time we were there, there had been 4 other tables who also complained about orders being wrong, waiting for more than should be expected, a couple who’s food was not right after waiting over 20 minutes and deciding to just leave, a different table of 5 having also waited a long time even for appetizers ended up requesting the manager the bald guy to have a talk with him, 2 elderly ladies next to us having waited just about as long as we had and left after only been served drinks. The blonde lady, the short brown haired guy with short beard and tattoos was working hard, and the young lady with dark brown hair also seemed to work hard. But the white guy who was slightly bald brunette with glasses had just walked out what seemed to either be mid shift and quit or finished his shift yet left orders not written down and not correct. Which them caused the blonde middle age nice lady having to serve the tables on the right half of the restaurant (where we were) and the area she had already been serving. Then when we were about the leave the manager had talked to a family of 4-5 who had just walked in about the lack of staff and another guy who we saw walking in as we left only to have walked back out 2 minutes later. The slightly bigger set black guy who was cleaning tables had seemed to be very tired and had enough with everything. Overall the young guy with tattoos, the younger possibly Hispanic girl with long dark brown hair, and the Middle aged blonde lady had all been to be doing to the best they could and tried to keep working with proper expectations. Overall food was mid, orders were wrong, and waited more than is expected and we were there for about an hour forty, but we were fortunately discounted for multiple items due to varying reasons which we appreciate, but the manager and higher ups really need to do better about this because numerous other people were experiencing the same as us while...

Normally I love to go to applebee's but this is probaly been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I came in around 3 o'clock there was probaly 5 other tables in the restaurant. I ordered The pretzels for an appetizer and 2 burgers with fries. I got my appetizer which was good and I ate it and then me and my friend were waiting for our burgers for a good 20 minutes until our waiteress came and told us that they accidentally made two of the kind of Burger I ordered and that they We're gonna make the 2nd Burger right now. I waited another 15 minutes from my waitress to tell me that It should be coming out soon. 5 minutes later we actually get our burgers which were brought out by the manager and he told us that they were making us new fries so they would be fresh. He asked as if there is anything else he could do while we waited. I understand how working in a restaurant works I used to be a server myself but the fact that there were not very many customers in the store the fact that we waited 40 minutes to get our food and weren't even given our fries at the time of the order and the whole time that it took them to remake the 2nd Burger which was a really long time they should have had the fries in the fryer ready to go so they can all come out together. Not to mention the whole time they were making the 2nd Burger my Burger was sitting under a warmer so it came out with wilted lettuce and a soggy tortilla on my quesadilla burger. by the time I got my fries I had eaten my burger. should have asked for a free dessert or something. next time I want applebees I won't be going...

Had a gross experience here 2 nights ago. Went because they are open a little later at night than most places. Haven’t been to this location in a few years, thought we would give them a chance, Wow it has really gone downhill! First of all, walking in the floor was sticky all the way to our table. Then we got seated at a booth and the table was sticky. After reading some of these reviews, It looks like a lot of people complain about the tables being sticky. The waitress blamed it on the cleaner that they use on the tables, but anyone can look at the table and see that it has a thick layer of dirt and grime on it, which is just disgusting! Hubs and I both ordered steak and shrimp. Both of our steaks came out bloody even though we ordered them medium to medium well. Our server did offer to have them re-cooked and they were better. The shrimp and the green beans were gross and mushy. My waffle fries were sitting in a pool of blood, so that was also gross! The beer wasn’t very cold. The people that were sitting next to us were also complaining. Our server did take some of the money off of our bill but overall it was a very bad experience, left hungry, will not be back EVER! Whoever manages this restaurant should be embarrassed how many bad reviews they have, low quality food and about how disgusting the tables are! Anyone can see that those tables need to be deep cleaned. I ran my fingernail across the table, an entire layer of grime, just peeled right off! Gross! I can only imagine how bad the kitchen is.
