Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe — Restaurant in Lincoln

Went here before a concert at the bourbon. Before we get into this, i gotta say, I was looking through some pictures in the reviews and there's a picture of the italian beef sub in there. Which is what i got. Now, looking at that picture and thinking about what i got, im disappointed. Granted, it was from a couple yrs ago. But I didn't get half the meat in that pic. It was good, dont get me wrong. The au jus with it was on point and the beef itself was tender and juicy. The bread was maybe the star. But the peppers they put on it were a bit hot. Unless they have super hot banana peppers (which i added). And i like hot, but it was more than i was expecting i guess is what I'd say. My girlfriend got the italian club. She enjoyed it. I tried a bite and honestly thought it was better than mine too. But for the 2 subs and 2 drinks it was $24 and some change which i thought was a bit much. They were good sandwiches but we both got full size and they weren't really that big in my opinion. Maybe im used to big portions. But i was a little disappointed for the bang to buck ratio. Had a terrible experience when I last placed a delivery order. After waiting an hour without receiving my order I called in and they said I would have to either wait about another hour for delivery, or come pick up my order myself since they didn't have enough staff. When I headed to the restaurant, the cashier couldn't find my food, and then ignored me while helping other customers for about 10 minutes. I asked her for help again and she went to her manager, at that point we waited longer and the manager would not come over to talk to us either. Finally after I asked for a 3rd time she came over and found my food in the first place the cashier checked. I asked when it had been made, and she said it was just finished 10 minutes ago, obviously after waiting there for over 10 minutes and not having seen any other food added to the pile, I argued and she argued back. I asked if she would take off the delivery fee and tip since I came myself, and she said she would not do it then because she was too busy. Ordered food for delivery on Pickleman’s actual website. Door Dash delivered 30 mins late and did not bring my salad that I ordered. I called Pickleman’s and explained that they didn’t print out my salad on the order receipt they gave to door dash so door dash didn’t even know I ordered a salad. The rest of my family got their food but not me. They tried to say I didn’t order from their website..which I did. I am stuck in a hotel due to only having my semi so I couldn’t just “come get it” like the staff at Pickleman’s said. They wouldn’t send another driver and they also told me they wouldn’t refund me my money due to it being “door dash’s problem.” Manager finally got involved and said she will submit a ticket to corporate for my salad to be refunded. Judging by all the other recent customer reviews I doubt I’ll see the refund. I rarely leave reviews, but this is just unacceptable. They should have made it right. Now it’s 10:30 at night, haven’t been able to eat all day and now I’m going to bad hungry. Ridiculous. I wouldn’t bother ordering from this establishment.
