Valentino's — Restaurant in Lincoln

My husband and I were staying at the la Quinta Inn on Saturday night. In the same parking lot as our hotel was Valentino's To Go. We had just had a long day of baseball games and noticed that Valentino's was open until 10:00 p.m. It was 9:30pm and my husband and I walked over to order dinner. The blonde lady at the register was very pleasant, she took our order but very quickly we discovered that the co-worker she was working with was very upset that we ordered so late.

He made us feel incredibly uncomfortable because he was slamming pots and pans around blurting out loud how inconsiderate people are for ordering so late. Had she told us that orders are only taken until 9:30pm we would have gone somewhere else for dinner. There are plenty of options in that area. He's described as a heavier set man he had brown hair and knitted cap over his hair and sunglasses on top. He kept ranting to his co-worker that the restaurant closes at 10:00 p.m. and he was really upset. I noticed in the restaurant that there was a sign that says that they are hiring. This guy was very unappreciative that he had customers waiting for dinner. At this point we were definitely concerned if he was going to put anything in our food that we would regret! There are so many jobs available and so few good people to work them. And when you experience what we experienced at Valentino's to go that night I can assure you, we will never go back again! It's too bad because this is a company that boasts its family ownership and the pride that they take with their food and customers. We usually love Valentino's pizza however we won't be ordering from the N27th location again. Once again the dough/crust didn't taste quite right but our biggest issue is the cheese on top of both pizzas was burnt (this is the 4th time (of 4 times ordering) this has happened from this location) and for the price of the pizza it's really unfortunate.

Also a slight annoyance was we were quoted 25 min for our 2 pizzas and ended up taking 57 minutes (and after sitting in the location for the extra 30 min - only one other person picked up an order so they didn't seem busy at all)

Even though this specific visit would have probably been zero stars - gave 2 star rating because all this being said we will go back to ordering from a location on the other side of town where the food (so far) has been...

Dont think I'll ever order at this location again. Was told 45 minutes ordered at 7:58PM and called at 9:14PM to check on order guy told me any second it should show up at any second. Got the pizza at 9:40PM. Asked the delivery guy what took so long and he said there was 4 other deliveries. Okay I get that he had 4 other pizzas to deliver but no one can pick up a phone and tell us they are going to be late. On top of that pizza was cold. Called and talked to manager and he gave me 25% off and wouldn't own up to mistakes that were made. Also never did get a sincere apology or I hope you will still order with us.
