Personally I enjoy eating at la Madeleine the food is very good we have eaten at three other locations on a few occasions always a great experience but today we tried the location at the forum and boy what a mistake it was we arrived at 10:05 a:m on a Sunday Morning not very busy at the time that we arrived.We placed our order and was given a wood block with a letter L on it and was told to find a table and they will bring our order to us when it was ready ...We went and sat down everything good drinking coffee having conversation after 45 min I started questioning about how long it was taking to receive our food so I approached the gentleman behind the counter and asked him about our order he asked me what did I order I told him what I ordered (what was the wooden block I was given for ?) I thought it was to keep track of my order and help the server find us to bring our food to us hmmmm? I asked the gentleman to check on the food he then asked the cook who seemed to be lost about our order ..I then seen gentle reach bellow the serving counter and grab our plates he then added a potatoe patty to the plates and handed them to me ...I took to the table in which of course discovered the food was cold ..My partner asked the server if she could take her plate back and warm it up ..Mistake !!!!! 20 min went by then 30 she then went up to the counter and asked about her food they couldn't find her plate ..I asked for the Manager and told her about what happened she replied I got you ?? I got you what does that mean ? She proceeded to my table and gave me two $10.00 gift cards ..I wasn't looking for that actually it was insulting to me ..Me and my partner left and left the gift cards on the table as a tip ..Not too the Server but to the Manager that you cannot just buy your way out of poor service but to learn how to deal with a person's bad experience and maybe just be truly apologetic..We will never come back to this location again ..Will drive the extra distance to the 281 & 1604 location for a better experience...Lesson learned for me just because it's the same name doesn't mean same pleasant...
Read moreSo went in wanted some pastries only, when I was ordering I remember thinking why is she not putting what I ordered in a box or something, after I was done pointing out what I wanted. I will mention race only because I do not know names and it’s important for these employees to understand they represent a company. The one taking my order was a black gal and she wasn’t listening, she wasn’t very friendly at all kinda had an attitude like I need to hurry and I’m above all this. So after my order I seen another gal she was Asian I think, well she was the one grabbing the pastries I ordered, I guess it confused me not sure why the one I’m talking to the black gal wasn’t getting the pastries. Well anyway I get home and two days went by before we even opened the box. My kids ordered something and my wife did via FaceTime. So my son opens the box and he wonders why someone ate his pastry. None of us did, then I noticed a piece of chocolate cake was in the box. Point is I didn’t ask for chocolate cake and my sons pastry never made it in the box. It was 5 items I really didn’t think it was that tough of an order to remember. So I don’t think we will return. By the way we drove from New Braunfels. We did go for other reasons as well. My advice drop the attitude and listen!!! One last thing the pastries didn’t taste as good as I remembered!!! Read moreI usually love La Madeleine, but this location was a huge disappointment. I came in with a simple order of three sandwiches, and somehow, the team managed to mess it up multiple times.
To start, I asked for chicken on two sandwiches, but they put chicken on the wrong one and substituted turkey on the one I did want chicken on. They also made strange substitutions. I never requested adding mayo, which the sandwich doesn't normally come with. It wasn't just the sandwiches. I asked for side salads, and they gave me petite salads instead. Even when the food was ready, the staff kept walking away with it, confused about the order numbers. I had to stop them multiple times to say, "Hey, I think that's mine." Still, they walked away repeatedly before finally giving it to me. This wasn't even my first bad experience at this location. The last time I ordered to-go, I got home and found that there was no chicken on my sandwich at all. I figured it might be better in person, but it was actually worse.
The croutons were stale, the cups were dirty, and despite there only being a few other customers, everything took forever. Ordering was chaotic, with unclear instructions from the staff. Even paying was confusing, and I had to repeat myself several times. This was not just one bad mistake-it was a string of careless errors that made the whole visit frustrating and exhausting.
