First and last time here.
We walk in to order and see a menu with recommendations on certain pizzas to try. We chose two different recommendations and proceeded to tell the person behind the counter. They take down our order and ask for a name on the order and write it on the pizza paper.
They then hand is off to 3 other people on the line to fulfill the order. They must all be extremely untrained because they all ask what i want on my pizza and didn't even bother to look on the paper. Why provide recommendations if you won't just make it? I was confused when they asked for me to build my own pizza, granted that's an option, but i didn't want to do that.
We then finish telling them what we want and are at the end of the line standing there confused on where to go. Do we get a buzzer to know when it's ready? Do we pay now or later? Why is the register facing away from us in a hallway blocking other traffic to the back tables? Just unorganized and chaotic in my opinion.
We get to the register and checkout with a gentleman that couldn't be less friendly. It's like you tried to find someone with the worst customer experience and hired them. If you know there are no buzzers to alert a person on what to to or where to go, why aren't you directing customers to let them know what's going on? When we got to the register, they should know exactly what we ordered without having to repeat our entire order to the cashier which slows the process down. If i wasn't honest, i could have lied, which in the end could hurt your sales.
We finally checkout and proceeded to pick and wait at a table. Their method of letting you know your order is ready is to call it out. Not bad, but again i shouldn't have to listen for my order since I'm dining in and trying to have a good experience with my wife. It would be ok if i was dining out.
We got our pizza which the wait time wasn't bad. It was fairly quick. However, the pizza itself was rather tasteless and soggy. I've had my fair share of brick oven pizza and that was a sorry excuse of a pizza. I recommend a short, but longer default time of cooking. This is my opinion, but you should possibly poll people on cooking preferences because it tasted like raw dough.
Overall, terrible experience. I would go back if it drastically improved. At this moment in time, this pizza business is out of business to me.

Read moreWe've visited multiple times. it's a nice restaurant and the food is delicious. I really dig the flavored teas. My only gripe i have is that we have to watch closely when ordering as the younger employees I'm guessing don't serve customers often with allergies and have had to point out cross contamination. when someone hasn't changed their gloves for a non dairy pizza or have seen toppings with dairy cheese stuck on them that were accidentally dropped in the toping bins and used on the non dairy pizza. Yes, it would realistically be safer to stay home, but because there is a non dairy option, we enjoy coming here to get out when we can. Other than that, keep up the great work.
Update-we dropped by last night for dinner for the first time in over 5 months. Our last experience made us nervous about returning. (On our last visit, the pizza had been cross-contamination with previously used gloves for a non dairy pizza as well as toppings with cheese stuck to them. when we pointed this out, they remade the entire pizza and forgot to put non dairy cheese on it, causing them to remake the 2nd pizza) But we did have a better experience this time. I'm happy to say it went great. I noticed there's a new manager who's not afraid to speak up to his staff if needed. The staff who are also new but still youngins that grip when asked to clean and wipe down a table. Haha. But they were attentive when making our food and took the allergy seriously. Thank you. Ow :/ idk who's trying to avoid dishes, but eating at a small table for two with two boxes on the table was annoying. I hope this isn't a new direction.
12/23/23 Great experience. Friendly fast staff. Was glad to be back again.
2/24/22 I had to remove stars. We keep having issues with our dairy allergy being taken seriously. I understand they might not get many ppl in there with this issue often, but it is an option, so we keep trying. But this last time we went, we had to ask one gentleman to change his gloves, and he was nice about it. But the last gentleman at the oven who was supposed to add the cheese after and he had put dairy cheese instead of non dairy. Thankfully, I asked even though it feels awkward and annoying to keep mentioning it and asking. Well, if I hadn't asked, we would've been calling for an ambulance. I hate to say this, but for the safety of my partner, we probably won't be...
Read moreI have been eating at Mod Pizzas in several states for several years. I live in Selma now and have eaten at this location numerous times. I love the pizza but have noticed a real decline in the employees ability and willingness to work hard at what they do. Last night for my birthday I told my wife let’s just go get pizza. We get to the restaurant and there were six or eight people in front of us in line. Giving me ample time to watch the employees that were working. There was one guy that was supposed to be pressing the dough into the 11 inch size. At all the other stores that I have eaten at they take a two layers if you what a thick crust. But he was squeezing two dough balls together and then pressing them out. His technique wasn’t the big problem but watching him play around with the dough knife all over the machine and the surrounding area. Then the fact that he was not doing anything but playing with the dough and only pressed about three pieces in the 20 minutes that we were in line. The other guy that was making the pizzas had his hat over his eyes and appeared to be on something. It took him over five minutes to put the toppings on my pizza and half of the containers were empty or low of toppings and instead of getting more from the refrigerator behind him, he would walk over and grab some from the next prep area. It was so obvious that he was worthless that after making my pizza a different employee working the register offer us a discount and then told him to clean tables. This was also very difficult to watch someone spraying cleaner everywhere except on the tables he was supposed to be cleaning with a dirty paper napkin. It was hard to watch two employees doing nothing and with no sense of responsibility or drive to do things right for which you are getting paid. These two apparently do not appreciate having a job and drag the entire...
