Archie’s Tavern – A Hidden Gem Worth the Detour
My mom and I stopped into Archie’s Tavern in Livonia for a quick lunch while we were in the area to see a specialist—far from our usual stomping grounds. We weren’t expecting much… but what we found was nothing short of outstanding.
The cheeseburger? A revelation. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and stacked just right. The kind of burger that makes you pause mid-bite and say, “Okay, this is really good.” Paired with crispy, golden French fries that walked the line between hearty and heavenly.
But what truly set Archie’s apart was the service—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The kind of place where you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time through the door. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, with just the right mix of comfort and character.
It’s not in our usual area, but now? It’s on my list. I’ll absolutely be making a point to visit again next time I’m nearby—because when a place gets it this right, it’s worth the return trip.

But they were lacking something. So who I went with got a burger that came with some type of garlic sauce. She didn't want it. So I added that to my Mahi tacos and that was a GAME changers. These tacos became very good after that. I would strongly urge y'all to try it. Maybe add it to the menu. The chicken tenders were fresh & hot. Not hand battered not home made but okay. Lemon meringue pie to top of the dinner was tasty and exactly what l expected. Overall so far a good place to eat. This place is a hit. I forgot to mention. They do have sagnaki (opa! cheese). While I didn't get none. I appreciate seeing and hearing the opa! Whenever someone got some so...
