The wait is long to get in. I usually love this place. The food is usually good but today after waiting to get seated then waiting for about 45 mins for our food I had to share my experience today. Our waitress Madison was really nice. I ordered a BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avaocado) and it came with fries, fruit, or soup. I ordered the bowl of fruit. When the food finally came I noticed that the bulk of the sandwich was lettuce, and there was hardly any avocado on it, but after waiting in the car for 45 moms and then waiting again in the restaurant for 45 mins I decided to just eat it. I took two bites of the sandwich. The bacon was so crispy it hurt my teeth and then the burnt taste came. So I told Madison about it and gave her the plate back. She offered to have it remade or have more bacon made and I could just replace the bacon. That’s a problem there. Businesses should always apologize and just offer to have it remade or order something else. I shouldn’t have to remake my own sandwich. I decided I didn’t want it to be remade or order anything else. I also didn’t eat the fruit. I placed it on the side of the table away from me. However when we got our bill, Madison had still charged us for it. When we asked Madison to remove it she said she needed her manager to do so. So the manager comes over and my husband explains the issue. Then the manager says “well I have to charge you for it cause Madison said you ate it.”Of course we explained that only two bites were taken . She then says “why didn’t you have it remade?”I told her I didn’t want it remade. She said well she (Madison) offered to have it remade and I told her I didn’t want it. She then said well I have to charge you for the fries that you ate that came with it. I told her that I didn’t order fries I ordered fruit and here it is. She said “well what am I supposed to do with that? You’ve been breathing over it!” We were flabbergasted. She asked us for our card and my husband asked for a new bill first before he gave our card. She tried to do a stand-off. We refused. We didn’t give her our card until she gave us a new bill. She was so rude. I use to love this place but I won’t be going back. I gave two stars because my husband’s...
Read moreFirst time and last time here. Here is why:
1: my 2 friends and I went there for a friends birthday. A start to our day. We each ordered a main dish and a side dish. I was the first to order, I saw our waitress jot down my order. Mexican omelette & loaded bacon fries. Friends ordered after. Once the meals came, I never got my omelette. I asked the waitress and she seemed confused, but told me she would order it. After everything was done, I get my omelette. My friends finished eating and we’re ready to leave, when I finally get my plate. The omelettes come with a side of hash browns. I never got them. I then had to ask the waitress where they were and she said she will order them.
2: besides forgetting a dish, the food was horrible. I have low standards. Seriously food is food. I’m not going to a 5 star restaurant so I’m not going to expect 5 star food. My late omelette was watery. Both orders of loaded fries were dry, so was the cheese. Like it sat under a heat lamp for too long or were over cooked. The other omelette ordered was burned. My friend complained about the burned hash browns that he got with his order. Pancakes were sub par.
I will give it to Brunch Cafe. The mixed berry French toast is the best French toast I have ever had. The coffee was surprisingly good, because it’s fresh and they refill every 15 mins. That’s about it. Amazing French toast, good coffee, and horrible food & service. I’m not sure how they have 4.5 stars. Maybe this was just a bad day? The place was packed so maybe the cooks were overwhelmed? Regardless of the reason, I spent $60 on food that didn’t deserve $20. We waited 20 mins for the original food which is standard, but another 20 for my meal, and then another 20 for hash browns. I didn’t even finish my food. My standards are low, but this place served lower. I’m sorry to the waitress that forgot my order. This review is solely because of that. I’ve had bad food and rarely post a review, I just...
Read moreThe food is very good- So good that I ate there 2 days in a row; ate in one day and the next ordered carryout- my low rating comes for the bill discrepancy, and the lady who is cashing me out, insisting that I ordered something different the day prior-
I ordered a veggie omelette on both days minus green peppers, but add feta and mozzarella- I know what I ordered and I know what I ate.
Yesterday’s bill came to $15 and some cents.-Today’s bill came to $19.72 When I asked about the four dollar change, I was told it was because I added cheese. $4 extra for cheese??? Or was it $1 for cheese and $3 for the pancakes which are an included option?
When I got home, I looked at yesterday’s bill compared to today’s bill only to find that Rita gave me the wrong bill yesterday. My fault that I didn’t catch it. I didn’t order a Western omelette 😁 I ordered a veggie- and ate in. I didn’t catch the error, yesterday-
It was for a western omelette with American cheese- I saw omelette and it seemed like it would be appropriate because it’s $13 for the omelette and an extra for the cheese , tax…that would equal $15. I also left a $3 tip because the service and food was good-
Today’s bill had a dollar charge for something and then a three dollar extra charge for something and then an extra charge for carry out. I don’t mind the 10% carryout because I understand they have to pay for those Styrofoam contain.-
It bothered me that the lady insisted that I didn’t have cheese in my omelette yesterday, which is then alarming because what was that white salty stuff that I was eating inside my omelette???😂😂😂 🥴
I would have appreciated if she would’ve looked a little closer to the bill and not just quickly summarize that the extra four dollars was additional cheese because even with that it doesn’t make sense- she wasn’t rude. She said it all with a smile and talking in her home language to her friend...
