In a nutshell, don't order from this store unless you are willing to gamble that it might take more than an hour to get your pizza, and restaurant staff will not admit how long the delay will actually be.
I order pizza from this location about 1x/month, and last night I had an experience that will keep from ever ordering there again. I ordered using the app, and when the app said the pizza was done, I drove the 3 minutes from my house to the store. The person behind the counter asked for my name 3 times, acted like there was no order, and then told me it would be just a few minutes. FORTY-FIVE MINUTES later, after at least half a dozen other waiting customers started comparing notes on how long they'd been waiting (average was about an hour), I wished that I had not already paid so that I could just cancel the order and get faster food elsewhere. But no. The people working behind the counter would not answer me or any of the other waiting customers about how long our orders were expected to take. After one person offered us all free pop or breadsticks, they simply walked away after one person said that he'd like some breadsticks (and the rest of us get nothing because one person took you up on it???). So what could have been better? COMMUNICATION. First, the person behind the counter - or better yet, the clueless manager - should have told us as we checked in that they were experiencing major delays of over an hour so that we could have cancelled our orders instead of expecting us to wait indefinitely. Second, if they were sincere about trying to mitigate the situation by offering comped sides or sodas, they should have actually asked everyone who had been waiting that long - not just the first person to speak up. Third, NEVER avoid customers because you don't want to give them bad news - if you know it's going to be a few minutes more, TELL US that and tell us why - you might have gotten at least a little bit of...
Read moreMy favorite pizza place, Fox’s, closed so I tried Domino's after many years. Bought a thin crust pizza a few days ago. Just was too thin and not like eating pizza at all. Just didn’t taste good.
A few days later, I was sent a coupon deal for a free “emergency pizza”. I decided to try this pizza because it was free, but with the hand tossed crust this time. I also ordered cheese covered tater tots.
I noticed that the Pizza tasted really sweet, like it had sugar in it. It had only two toppings, pepperoni and green pepper. The green pepper was cut very tiny, and so thin it was see-through, which I know is a cost-cutting measure due to the rising cost of things. Again, this pizza did not taste like I remember Domino’s used to taste. I basically ate off the pepperoni and threw away the rest.
The tater tots were awful and a waste of $6.99. There was no cheese on top of the tots as in the pictures, and instead, the cheese is thrown on the paper, and then the tater tots on top of the cheese and then it is baked. My cheese was burnt. I could only pull off the tater tots from the burnt cheese, and they would break away from the cheese, so that there was no cheese on the tater tots at all. The cheese-less tots had an odd flavor. Didn’t finish them either.
Finally, when I went to pick up my order tonight, I said hello to the first young man I saw, but he was nervous and looked away and ignored me. I got my food and looked up and met the eyes of another worker and said thank you to him, and he had the weirdest look on his face like he was guilty of something. It was very odd. He did say thank you after I said it first....
Read moreDomino's has been my go-to pizza spot on the south end of Logan. The service is sooo hit and miss though. I fully understand that things can get hectic on a Friday night or that random mistakes can be made every now and then, but lately they've just been bad. They might have your order ready in 15 minutes one time and an hour and a half the next. The last two times I've had to wait way too long. Yesterday I put in an order and showed up at the time that the confirmation email said it would be ready. I could see that it was clearly busy so I expected to wait a bit longer, but ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes and watched as every other person got their order. I double checked with the person at the register to see if my order had been missed & was told that it was just coming out of the oven & would be ready any minute. I waited another 10 minutes and finally asked what was going on again. At this point I was literally the last customer in the place. When I gave them my name they said that my order was a delivery order (it wasn't) and that they had already sent it out for delivery to my hotel. This is after sitting there for over an hour and already talking to them about my order once. Unfortunately, I wasn't staying in a hotel and didn't request delivery. They had to call the driver and have him come back to drop off my order. Needless to say, it was a mess and I definitely won't be relying on Dominos anytime I need to plan on an order being ready by a specific time again. Not to mention, this was for my kid's birthday so my family sat at home and waited for an hour and a half while I hung out at...
