Kraken Kafe — Restaurant in Long Beach

Horrible experience… server was okay. Lady who made coffee served me milk( ordered extra additives that cost extra) she did not want to put them in. She then served me a cup covered in coffee grounds and liquid. Had them asked her for a napkin instead she reached over the counter and ripped the drink out of my hand( spilling some on the ground as well) put it into a different cup- still no additives and the cup was covered in dry coffee grounds . Then asked where it was/ stated she then hadn’t added them. Came back and poured half and half on top of the milk. Asked her if she could please make something that taste liek a latte- she made me a straight up black cup of coffee charging $10 and had flouting chunks of grounds in it. Will never return the lady had shown an attitude from the beggining to end. McDonald’s coffee would’ve been much better. Horrible that such a cute cafe on the outside has such a bitter person working...

This was a neat and quirky place in a good way.

The owner had good conversation and answered any questions I had about the local eats.

They have a little section in the store where you can sit down and paint wood pieces. There is a place where you can sit down and chat with friends.

The woman who made my blended coffee gave me her name and I have to be honest I did not note it down but I do want to give her a shout out. I wanted something blended with a coffee kick And I told her to make whatever it is she wanted. I wanted something different than I usually order.

She made me a blended coffee with lavender and white coffee powder. It was really good and it was perfect for that extra bit of energy I needed.

Truly can’t say enough good and positive things to say about this shop! The atmosphere was so cute and cozy. The kids craft area is so genius and so cute! The staff was so unbelievably helpful and kind. Tried a variety of the freeze dried goodies and they were so tasty! Their house made cookies were so so flavorful and tasty. If you are in the area I highly recommend you stop and try a few things, you won’t be disappointed. I am quite picky when it comes to coffee and the seasonal drink was so flavorful, I highly recommend! Just wish the shop was closer to home! Looking forward to stopping in...
