Long Beach Beach — Attraction in Long Beach

This has been one of my favorite places to go since I was a kid! Yes you can drive on the beach! Lots of different places to go to as it is a touristy area! It is a LONG beach, hence the name! Which gives you a lot of room for opportunity, experiences, and FOOD!!! Of course you have your basic McDonald’s and Subway fast food restaurants if you’re passing through! However local is the way to go! Go to Scoopers for ice cream- however the wait is not ideal so plan to take about 30 to an hour out of your plans for the day if you want ice cream! As a proud city girl, this place was a fresh of breath air. Not only was the town really nice and easy to navigate, getting to the beach was a breeze. We went on a spring break trip so the weather was kind of crappy but still worth the 2+ hour drive down. You can choose to park near the beach entrance or drive right on it, we ended up getting the car stuck deep in the sand but two friendly locals with a giant pick up truck helped us out. This is a great place to come and gather your thoughts. You can drive on the beach, fly kites, picnic, walk yourself or your dogs, very family and dog friendly beach. The views are incredible and you may be able to see a bold eagle like the one we saw this morning on our 10 mile walk. Absolutely stunning animals and beach was amazing if only the temperature of the water was warmer this would be a phenomenal destination for swimming.
