I do not recommend FordElectric, even though in the past, I have recommended them to several people. The two men came out to work on my septic pump electricity, stayed one hour complained about the wiring and told me I needed my pump worked on or a new pump but the electrical box was OK, just needed floats. They came back to replace the floats. Stayed another 20 minutes and again told me my electrical box was OK just replace the pump or have it worked on. Next thing I get a call from their office saying I needed to pay well over 3000 for a box and the lady in the office argued that I must’ve been wrong when I said they told me the box was OK. I get a second opinion and I do replace the pump. Still no electricity to the pump. I am in the process of ordering a part to get the box to work. I’m not sure if like auto mechanics they always find something more wrong or they did something because electricity is getting to the box. But when I got my bill, they charged me 3 1/2 hours of work for less than an 1 1/2 hours, my bill almost $700 was not worth an 1 1/2 hours of them doing nothing. My opinion, that being elderly and not getting a discount anymore I feel I was ripped off or that they did something so I would spend more money. Also, I waited a whole month for them to get out here.
Well if they did their part and they were here 3 1/2 hours and the electrical to the box was OK just the pump needed attention then why with a new pump the box is still tripping and the electrical was never fixed. In fact, we found a melted piece in the box and had to order it and pay for it, but was not the whole problem. It still does not work., 3 1/2 hours and the problem was not fixed. I got a new pump and it works. The electrical doesn’t work. And I don’t care if your vehicles show they were here 3 1/2 hours. They were here less than 1 1/2 hours and said the box works. The electrical still doesn’t work. And I don’t care if your vehicle showed they were here 3 1/2 hours. They were here less than 1 1/2 hours! They must’ve taken a break in their truck out front because they were not in my driveway. I know because I had to leave when they left. I’m just upset because for $657 nothing was done, so you get paid for not doing the job? I’m done I will live in a tent before I...
Read moreI feel that Ford Electric has deceptive business practices. I called and wanted a quote to have somework done and was told a quote would be at least 30 days out, plus additional appointment(s) to get the work done. They offered to come and do the work on "time and materials" in a much shorter time frame. So, I elected to go forward with the time and materials, thinking once the electricians came out that an estimate would be provided so that I had some idea of what the cost would be. That did not happen and after the work was completed, I received a bill 1.5 months later that was much more than I anticipated. Ford Electric should provide customers with an estimate prior to work starting so that a customer can have some idea of cost. It took 2 trips to get the job done because they didn’t have the breaker needed for the dryer outlet which is just bad planning on their part. The amount of hours that was billed was inflated. I was charge $120 for each SQD 20/20 TWIN BREAKER needed which in my research is a $30-$40 part. I was also charged $130 for a 30amp RV outlet which is also a $40.
Being the only electrical company in the Long Beach, WA area seems to give them some liberties with business practices and pricing that needs to be checked. Hours should be agreed upon as work gets completed so there are no surprises when a bill is recieved 1.5 month later. Bryce the owner called me to talk through the bill and was emotional when I asked for clarification about pricing. Quality of the work they performed was good but lack of transparency in pricing and material mark up is questionable. Time and material should not be a open checkbook to charge inflated hours and...
Read moreFirst off, any of the techs/electricians that have come to work on our years long remodel, including but not limited to, Charlie, Ryan, Ben, etc. have been great, communicative and knowledgeable. But, this post in particular is to give a shout out to Allen. He has been the constant in all of the work we've done. We overhauled our kitchen and did a pretty significant upgrade which included commercial appliances. It was not a small job and it wasn't an easy job, as we were living in the construction. Allen had to work around us and our things. I really can't say enough good things about Allen. He's smart, intuitive, attentive to the project, helps troubleshoot to solve problems, he's funny and has a great attitude despite the challenges of the property and the owner!
Also, I want to give Angela a thank you and show appreciation because we are always coming up with things to do and inevitable have timelines where other contractors are coming behind the electrical work. She always works with us and meets our expectations and needs. Thank you, Angela, Allen and, really, the...
