I will say don’t even try. First of all we just got into town from Montana we got really lucky and found a super cute VRBO to rent for a long weekend. We came across a add in our little book at the VRBO telling us good places to try. Wish I could have been warned before hand. We were greeted pretty quickly and than that was all. All service went right out the window as soon as we received our drinks. We had to get up go to the bar and order food because the waitress was outside chain smoking. We sat there for for approximately 35 minutes with no food no appetizers when we did get our appetizers the mozzarella sticks were cold, and the beer fries were like lava and the amount of fry oil on them made them hard to touch without getting burnt. Within two minutes of receiving our appetizers here comes the pizza we ordered it was ok not the best, the cheese on the middle of the pizza wasn’t even cooked all the way through. Plus we had two spots where it was like someone just put a handful of cheese for no reason. We got a show also a table of men got into verbal altercation which lasted for about 10 minutes no bar staff intervened so it just had to burn itself out at the cost of every customer listening how some drunk man did or did not hit on some lady. Than after ordering 1 more round of drinks from the bar we asked for our bill. We waited for a few minutes, than we got the bill from not our original waitress because she was out smoking as she had done most of the time. The other waitress came over and started to tell us about how sorry she was about service than started a pity party for how hard they were working and how taking care of 6 tables is hard for two people. Only 1 table of 6 people who waited for around 30 minutes to get in cause no one busted tables from previous customers. We paid our bill and walked out with other customers the other customers started the chowder they ordered was sour and didn’t eat it as the were afraid of getting sick. Would not recommend. Will never return unless the owner changes it up maybe get some staff that wants to be there and...
Read moreI am giving a five star for service as the waitress and wait staff seem to be very friendly and helpful, however I would not attempt Karaoke if you are not a local and part of the tables full of angry drunk regulars. My partner and I have tried for the third time to attend karaoke and were intentionally targeted and interrupted during singing again. Each time we have come in to sing karaoke while visiting the peninsula, the same groups of people have made it the worst experience on the planet. As a bartender of 20-plus years and a karaoke host, I am absolutely repulsed by the behavior that is allowed by the regulars in this establishment. The karaoke host seems friendly enough, however she looked completely taken aback by their behavior once again as it was impossible for my partner to even get through one song without a few of the regulars purposely standing in his way and screaming over him. Their childish insecure motives were obvious and intentionally as we moved seats three different times to avoid being in these people's way. They made it clear we were sitting in their spot by verbally introducing that in loud comments aimed at us. They made it clear we were not welcome there, even acting like they were going to move our table for us. I would have liked to have seen them try, as we are both trained in martial arts, and it is wise to know your opponents before starting a conflict. It is very disappointing as the bar and the location would be an absolute pleasure without this...
Read moreLooking to visit in the off season and not a local? Don’t even bother going in! We decided to take a quick trip in March to walk around and look at shops. After all the walking we started to get hungry. We stopped into the Long Beach Tavern and thought we would get a quick bite and a drink. After sitting at the bar for 10 min with all the “locals” around us being waited on hand and foot we finally had someone finally ask us what we wanted. We asked for a menu a draft beer and a Long Island. After looking over the menu for about another 10 or 15min we set the menu down and waited. Let’s call it a generous 10min more the bartender came back over and ask us what we wanted to drink. We told her we already ordered our drinks. She said oh what were they? We told her again and she started talking to the “locals” next to us and went over and got them both a beer. Again another 10min and she finally brought our drinks. And asked what we wanted to eat? We told her it’s ok we decided to eat elsewhere. 40min to be served a beer and a Long Island how long would we have had to wait for bar food? Anyways, we finished our drinks with no check up from the bartender and had to flag her down to ask for the check. Now mind you we are at the bar right next to the register and there are two other bartender/waitresses walking by us all the time. Bottom line is unless they know you, settle in and I hope you are ok doing everything when the employees get...
