The owner of this place is extremely rude & aggressive. I had half a foot in open doorway while holding my 3 pnd Chi in my arm *outside* so that I could look at menu on wall. A little over 10 sec of doing that he came out from kitchen raising his voice at me that dogs were not allowed in restaurant.. verbatim "Get that dog out of here! dogs R NOT ALLOWED IN MY RESTAURANT" I looked at him very perplexed as my dog wasn't even in restaurant she was outside door & I was holding her in my arm while peaking head in to see what was available, then husband & I would sit/eat outside.. Not cool not cool. We were later told by another restaurant employee he's known around town as being a grump & many avoid his restaurant because of his negative attitude. P.S. hopefully he reads this review & realizes that it's not nice to be mean to others that put the bread & butter on his table each day. Kindness goes a long way & Mr. if you're reading this, pls know a calm & respectful approach letting ppl know dogs are not allowed in your establishment would have been so much more effective, even though my dog was never inside yours.. #bekind #respectothers #neveragain. Ps. Pic of our furbaby for visual effects 😍

Went in to get lunch with my mother. the resturant wasn't busy and we got our food in a timely manner, got two German sausages to go. Took a quick ride back home barely 5 minute drive. Opening up our boxes we found that our sausages were burnt, dry, shriveled, crunchy and looked like it had been sitting out all day and the taste was very peppery and way too salty. The bun was hard and stale to where I didn't even want to eat it. I enjoy coming to hungry harbor because I know the food is good, but this wasn't at all what I was expecting from this place, I was disappointed to say the least. We had called in to describe what we were given and the woman who awnsered the phone was short and cut us off before we could explain the issue, saying that the issue was condensation when it in fact was not. It's unfortunate that our order came out this way, I don't see myself coming back as often or really at all, and I certainly wont be directing customers their way if this is what the food has turned into.

I took a break with my husband and drove to Long Beach. When we got to town, there were car events and markets, and the streets were crowded with people. I couldn't park on Main Street, but it was nearby. For lunch, we chose Hungry H Grille. The interior was like an old-fashioned American restaurant. After looking at the menu, we ordered fish & chips and a clam chowder bread bowl. You can't get free water, but the water bottle is 23 cents, so don't worry. When you order, you will be asked if you want to eat outside or inside the store. Two women in the store bring food, but it takes quite a while. Fish & Chips was delicious because it was freshly fried and hot. There were plenty of clam chowder bread bowl, so it was just right for two people to share. The restroom is located in a confusing location, but it is available. Good place to eat here.

If you had asked me to rate this place any of the many times my husband and I patronized it in the past, I would have rated it 4s and 5s. We used to enjoy coming here in the off season as well as in the tourist season. However, after the way we were treated last Saturday we will never be back. My husband and I ordered the same thing. Fish and chips and the smallest cup of chowder they had. Fish and chips came 3 to a basket, on top of a bed of crinkle cut fries. Both the fish and the fries were something out of a catalogued food services order, which is fine, but should be noted—this is not freshly caught made to order fish. Also in the basket was a small side of tartar sauce and a slightly bigger, but still very small side of coleslaw. The cup of chowder came with a dinner roll and a bag of oyster crackers.

When the gentleman brought us our order he looked at me and said “is it just you two?” To which I replied “yep.” To which he very rudely replied, “that’s a lot of food,” accompanied by a look of disgust. I was so taken aback by this wildly out of pocket comment that I tried to laugh and brush it off, but it really bothered me. I wish I would have said something in the moment, but I was having a hard time processing why this man would go out of his way to insult us. Especially after I just dropped $50 ($60+ with tip) in their restaurant, which had only 3 other customers at the time. I mean, there’s really no justification for this no matter what. It bothered my husband to the point where he threw away most of his food. We didn’t stay long due to being really uncomfortable.

I will also say, lay off the salt on your fish. It tasted more like the ocean than it did fish. The chowder is decent, but definitely not worth the chance of being talked down to with unprovoked comments. With all the other food choices in the area we definitely won’t be coming back. Eat here at...

The food was poor, as were the portions. The service was even worse. If you bring in your own water you'll be told it's against Long Besch policy and that's why you can't have it there. I looked it up and that's complete BS. There is no such policy aside from what they make up. My army veteran brother in law brought our elderly mother in since they were visiting for the first time at this restaurant and drove a long distance to enjoy Long Beach. This was the worst experience ever for both of them. My brother in law needed to take medication and will only drink from water bottles that he personally purchased, rather than bottled he can't be sure have been tampered with, and was told he couldn't have his (sealed) water bottle there and that there are signs posted all over. Come to find out the woman who became agreessive with him was the manager of the establishment. He was told that it's against policy in the town of Long Beach to bring outside beverages inside restaurants, which is completely untrue. They nickle and dimed for any and everything. My mother in law checked to make sure they didn't also charge to use the restroom as well. The staff were arrogant and aggressive, the food was terrible, the portions were laughable and after reading other reviews it would seem that the owner is even worse. I can't imagine anyone coming here unless they were unsuspecting tourists like my family. Atrocious and disdainful dining experience. McDonald's...

The food was pretty good. Seating was offered as to go, outside only, despite families sitting inside eating at the time we ordered. It was sunny and beautiful, so we didn't mind eating outside. The biggest takeaway from our experience, sadly, was an awful waitress. Our order was taken at the counter by a delightful gentleman and they prepared everything in the kitchen as specified, but the delivery person was cold and careless, yelling order numbers and tossing the bag of to go food on the tables at customers. When we went to throw our trash away, we found all the outside garbage cans were overflowing due to the volume of take out containers from this restaurant's customers so we went back inside to throw our trash away. Immediately upon re-entering the restaurant, we were yelled at by this same girl for entering the establishment and then told in a nasty tone multiple times that they don't care that the trash cans outside were full and that they had just taken the trash out from inside, so not to use their garbage cans. The restaurant was not closed and, in fact, was still taking dinner orders. This is not customer friendly service. I would be embarrassed to have this girl working for me. It is so disappointing that this is the experience we were left with and the memory of Long...
