I went to this restaurant with my family for my sister-in-law's birthday celebration. I have never felt so ignored in my life! And it wasn't just me. To start, I don't drink. Everyone else at the table was having wine and I specified that I wouldn't be drinking wine. I was never asked if I wanted anything else to drink, do I had to drink water the entire time. Further more, my mother is a diabetic and needs to eat within a certain length of time after injecting herself with insulin. It took so long to get bread sticks that she had to ask for them to avoid a potential hypoglycemic emergency. Once we finally had someone come to take our orders, she was trying way too hard to impress. The only reason we stayed to eat was hunger and the significant inconvenience of relocating to another restaurant, especially with diabetics on a ticking clock. After the meal and anxious to leave, the waitress tried to sell us on dessert (as if). It took 20 minutes to pay the bill. I love my family, but I will not be eating at Pinocchio's ever again. My sister-in-law and brother mentioned that they had a terrible experience that was actually worse than this one the last time they were there and would not be returning either. I am fairly certain that the rest of my family there, a party of nine total, will likely never return. My brother tells me that he complained to the restaurant last time, was promised compensation, and never received it. Ultimately, they punished themselves. My father intended to be gracious to the waitress with a tip, but saw that gratuity was already added the bill. The gratuity was about half of what he normally would have left. Pinocchio's shorted their waitress out of a good tip and shorted themselves out of my family's...
Read moreI've only been here once, so this review is my first impression. It was Friday night, we tried going to Rosalie's for some pizza but they had the worst live performance musician ever, who did a kid voice and played commercial jingles. My wife remembered that her boss recommended this place, he said it was the best marinara he's had. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised by the live music that was very good, the classic Italian ambiance and that they had a table for us. The service was friendly but not extremely attentive. The bar lacked a decent selection of non-alcoholic Italian drinks, they do have Italian soda but I prefer bottled/canned branded drinks. We decided on the Chicken Parm and the waitress recommended Lasagna. Both come with bread sticks and house salad. I would say you get decent value. The lasagna was okay, I got paged from work as I got my meal so I only remember the last few bites which I seemed to be enjoying as the food vanished from the plate. My wife's plate wasn't as fortunate, the mixed veggies were barely touched. They seemed like a classic frozen mix that was tossed with some pepper, fine but not in any way remarkable. The marinara was fine but quite bland, not sure what her boss saw in it. The salad and bread sticks were okay, nothing I'd crave. So, was I dissatisfied or disappointed? No. I got what I paid for, which is more than I can say for many places. Would I crave to go back? Probably not, but it's a safe place to try...
Read moreNot someplace I'd recommend. The food is definitely not worth the inflated price. My first visit wasn't great. I was seated within a resonable amount of time. But that's about the peak of the positive. I waited for 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table. Then our drinks took another 10 mintes to arrive and they were for another table. The server showed no concern and even seemed a little put out when we told her they weren't our drinks.
After 45 minutes our food finally came out. We order simple dishes, pasta, and it was room temperature.
Second and third visits were just about the same. We tried different dishes and they were just awful. Over cooked and very small portions.
They locations have the feel of a upscale cafeteria and the servers are less than attentive and seem to more concered about customer turn over rather than a good experience.
At one point during our second visit we were given a free show when the servers and the kitchen staff decided to argue and showed no concern for what the customers could hear or see.
Our third visit, our server was potentially drunk as he repeatedly fumbled with our plates and drinks spilling some on our table.
Short and sweet ...bad service, terrible food and lack of management seem to be what this place is about. I'd steer clear and order a...
