I visited Beach and Brew on the perfect beach day. The front windows were open, allowing for the perfect breeze and inviting atmosphere. The greeters were very friendly, and gave me a few seating options. I chose a spot at the window. Service was prompt, and also friendly. They explained the beer wall and the FORTY options available. It was fun to use my wristband for each tap. I created my own mixed flight of hard seltzers and wine. They had a 2015 Robert Hall Cabernet Sauvignon on tap, which was excellent! For dinner, I had French fries, which were perfectly crisp, caramelized broccoli and the Pacific white fish. Everything was delicious. I asked for aioli, because I'm trying to avoid all the sugar in ketchup, and they gave me a flight of four sauces to choose from! Portions were perfect, and both the broccoli and fries were enough to share. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience. I'd highly recommend Beach and Brew to anyone looking for beach bites and good service.

Price = average / service = above average / cleanliness = above average / vibe = upscale casual beach brewery / parking = metered street, residential This review will be updated at a later time as I did not eat food here yet, but, for now, this is a partial review. Beach & Brew has an interesting concept where you obtain a wristband to scan it and pay per ounce for the draft beers that they carry which most seem to be brands that are unique to SoCal. This is great for beer lovers or those who are not fans alike as you can try multiple types of beer by purchasing different sets of flights. From my selections, the average cost per ounce is around $2. Between two people, we bought three sets of flights which would be 12 small glasses and two half fills of glasses. The food looks good too but that will be for next time...

Ummmm. Came here for hair of the dog and they didn’t even have their wall of beers open, which is their WHOLE SCHTICK. We asked when they would have it clean considering they were supposed to be open….AND STILL CLEANING and they made us feel so small for asking for the very thing they advertise! We sat for 40 mins and even had the avocado toast (amazing btw). The bartender acted as if we were burden to his big muscley arms by asking for more water bc our waiter was not attentive- not bad just I’ll informed of anything going on in the restaurant and not helpful. We expressed we weren’t happy and no one did anything to ensure we would come back. Even the owner came and apologized but again offered no incentive. Sad all around. But get toast if you do go. It’s great.

Had some friends and family visiting us here in Venice. It's rare for us to get to try something new out here. Most new arrivals come and go by trying to overcharge for what they offer. Beach and Brew Venice definitely falls under that category. Anyway, we rolled into a huge, empty, room, maybe 6 other people in there. Off to a great start, the hostess tells us she needs to check reservations before she can seat us. Literally 60 open seats in front of us. Never know, there might be a few busloads of people coming in the next minute or two. 🙃 Menu looked interesting, simple, with more drink options than food which seems cool to me. All 6 of us order, 4 of of us got food. When asked, our aloof-of-the-year server, played it off like 2 orders of $17.00 dollar avocado toast takes a long time to prepare. After seeing tables who came after us get their burgers and plates of French Toast, she brought out the first plate of avocado toast. Gotta hand it to them, it was a whole avocado, looked pretty too. About 10 mins later, well after the 4 who got their food first had their plates bussed the second plate came out. Bill comes out and the server tipped herself 20%. I'm a big tipper. We go out a lot and we take care of businesses and servers by default. If you do bare minimum, you're getting 20%. But if you forget 2 dishes, fill coffee once, and try to pass your mistakes on the cook? You're the worst. That sucked. Waste of time and wast of money. Don't bother...

Where do I begin. The management insists on leaving the windows open with a massive draft coming through and a space heater that doesn’t work. I ordered the albacore tuna on sourdough for $18 dollars only to be served a 7 eleven style canned tuna sandwich on regular white bread - probably wonder white bread. Then all the food came out at different times when it wasn’t shared family style dining. The punch line was when the waitstaff came over to ask how the food was when we clearly didn’t have all the dishes and hadn’t started. Then we had to pay the obligatory 18% tip. What’s the point? The service was not even worth a tip but we have to compensate for restaurants who don’t pay their staff adequately. They expect a tip for doing the bare minimum. Then the cycle continues. On top of tipping for less than average service at 18% they include a suggested additional tip. Done even get me started on the “beer yourself.” It’s highway robbery. Why would anyone come here? Definitely won’t be back. You’re better off eating microwave dinners in front of the tv. You’ll be warm and your wallet...

An exceptional, wonderfully crafted dining experience steps from Venice pier. If your a beach lover as I am, you'll enjoy the ambiance as much as the food. And yes, they have 40 locally brewed beers on tap for self service. I was really impressed. All the food was delicious and presented beautifully. I went for Sumday Brunch at 11am. Made a reservation but really didn't need to as the restaurant had ample seating. The shrimp and grits were wonderful. A modern take on a classic Southern American comfort, with Socal flare and flavor. My suggestion would be to order a side of bacon and add it to the dish. The Clam Chowder was a solid go-to especially on a cool day at the beach. Same suggestion, order a side a bacon. Next up was the Smoked Salmon Benedict. It was a homerun. Perfect in every way from the excellent hollandaise, to the grilled Larder bread. It was a magnificent dish, you can't go wrong. All in all, great food and drinks, cheaper than expected (I spent 133 with tip on 5 dishes and 2 drinks), & a...
