So I’ve been meaning to stop by the place for awhile as I grew up in Cocoa Beach, FL and thought it was kinda neat to see a place sorta named after my home town. Not sure what Coco is but anyways…stopped in to check it out for a beer and to watch SNF. Place was by not empty by any means but there were empty tables and a few empty seats at the bar. I sat down at the bar and in a nutshell was ignored for 20 minutes. The bartenders were busy, I’ll give them that but they w tent just enough to take food orders and tab out other people sitting at the bar. Not once did one of them even look at me. I’ll give it one more shot but there’s no excuse for that. They could have at least acknowledged I was there and said they’ll get to me as soon as they can. You know like any normal bar. Also they did not look like they wanted to be there at all which was a tad off putting. Last thing I am not a fan of are the huge TVs. They have the aspect ration stretched way out to fill them and it’s extremely disorienting to stare up at such large screens that make everything feel off. Terrible idea. They need to fix that.
I spoke to the manager and he was extremely nice about it and offered to make it up to me but I didn’t want pity service. I want normal service at a place like this so like I said, I’ll swing in one more time and see if...
Read moreDecided to try a new spot for date night with my husband, and we are so glad we did. When we arrived, the ambiance is super nice and has a cute spot for a photo op for insta.
We were seated immediately in a booth by hostess who was extremely nice and the bartender made these awesome margaritas. Definitely set the bar high for food. We ordered a house salad and the beef ribs w/ a jalapeño corn bread. The chef came out and described the dish to us and was very welcoming. Food had amazing taste, great portions, and was some of the best bbq I’ve had.
We also ordered the beach girl smash and the lychee martini. I would reccomend these 10x over, great balanced cocktail. Bartender was really kind and makes drinks fast.
The new owner, Obay, also came by our table and made sure we had everything we needed (we did, but it was great that the owner stopped by our table to introduce himself). He was super welcoming and made us feel like family.
This will definitely become a regular spot of ours for date night and to hang out...
Read moreWent there around happy hour. I had a gift card, that i showed the waitress then after putting my order in then i am guessing the manager came over once the food arrived. She wanted to see, but stated that they didn't have that system since that management went bankrupt etc but said they had a machine in the back from clover. She wanted to honor it but had to ask her boss first. After eating a bit she returned to say, they would not honor that gift card that was given to me last yr which had $40. the best she could do was $8 off. I didn't enjoy my food once they she came back saying they wouldn't honor that. I wasn't expecting to pay luckily i brought my card. That would have been embarrassing if i didn't. I am not blaming the manager, she is doing her job what she was told. The waitress should have brought the manager over first an then she could have contacted her boss. Before i ordered my food. So i could have been prepared if i wanted to stay or not. Never going...
