Ben & Jerry's — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I rarely write bad reviews but it's required. We went there a few weeks ago and my fiance ordered first-his was made and then I ordered a milkshake. As the milkshake was being made the young man behind the counter acknowledge the milk was chunky and gone bad, but didn't realize until he had already poured it in the blender. He then simply attended to strain the sour milk our of the blender and use the same ice cream that had already been sitting in it. I thought I was seeing things but he went to go pour in fresh milk-I asked him to stop, confirmed what I had seen, and told him he needed to get fresh ice cream as the one he was trying to use had been completely covered in sour milk. He did so and didn't apologize or say much about it. As we walked out, my fiance asked why I took it when he didn't wear gloves while making it...and I simply hadn't noticed as I was shocked about the sour milk.

Beyond the fact that we are in a pandemic, a customer should not have to pay attention to their food being bad. I would have received a sour milkshake had I not been. We also shouldn't have to watch if our food handlers are wearing gloves and washing their hands. I tried calling three times after that and the phone just wrong, so despite being the closest ice cream place to us we will never...

We drove 10 miles to try the free vegan ice cream flavors. Picked this location because it seems all the ben & jerry’s around dont have convenient parking. The cashier starts to list out sorbet flavors - Rule to anyone serving ice cream in any overpriced ice cream shop; those dont need to be mentioned unless all options are out. So ultimately they were only giving out two flavors of ICE CREAM. Most people were trying the chocolate chip cookie dough over the coconut flavor. Sad to say my toddler didn’t like it and started to cry on the ride back home. Even though we stick to vegan choices when eating ben & jerrys we will stick to the flavors made with milk until something tastier comes along. But 4 stars because its not awful for those who are not ice cream lovers. Maybe I should've never discovered this place. I use to always walk by and just look but never tried. I love Ben & Jerrys, but have only purchased from the store. Now that I tried this place with all their varieties at your fingertips and tastebuds, I can't just walk by anymore.

Anyway, I love me some coconut everything so if you like coconut flavor then try the Coconut 7-Layer Bar.

If you like an Oreo flavor type ice cream then try the Sweet Cream & Cookies. It's so addicting.

I've also had the non-dairy, but it was so-so. Not as decadent as the dairy ones.

I've been getting the kid sizes and it's more than enough. A bit overpriced but so good to indulge in once in a while.
