Beware of this merchant. I came here with friends before the quarantine. I was excited because the establishment is black owned. I paid for two drinks and two brunch catfish baskets. (Mind you the food came out slow and for nearly $20 you get cold fries and 6 small catfish nuggets). The automatically charged 20% gratuity (which is ridiculous and I'm a former bartender myself but whatever) and my total came out to $75.00. I kept a tab open until I left, however I didn't have to purchase any more drinks because I was there with four other people who purchased rounds for the table. I get home and I have four charges on my card - one for $75, one for $69, one for $129, and another for $295. I was taken aback! The establishment refused to show me the four receipts to compare my signature and of course refused to refund my money. I've now had to dispute with my bank. District 7 did not provide any receipts for the $69 and $129 charges. However, they provided a signed receipt for the $295 charge but did not include the receipt I actually signed (the one for $75) because I'm sure they know it'll show that my signature was forged. All in all, we had a good a time at the day party, however, I implore you to...
Read moreThis place had great DJ music and terrible customer service. It is a black establishment and act like a weak one. They got to do better to lift our people up instead of being focused on clapping back on Instagram. I was heated because people who came in after my party ended up eating and leaving before my party. And I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes, just to not eat and get a $165 champagne bottle (that We did not want) instead of getting the food I originally went there for. The waitress lost my cousins ID, switched up the tabs, took forever to make it to our table to take our orders, the “chef on duty” yelled at me after I told him I’m not paying for his food after he made me wait for so long. Just terrible nasty, rude people. I do not tolerate disrespect especially when I’m a customer bringing in money. I do not...
