We arrived at 8:30pm and asked what time they closed. They assured us they stopped seating at 9pm and kitchen closed at 9:30pm (I may be slightly off on those times).
The atmosphere was beautiful and it wasnât busy, although the wind made it quite chilly and there were no heaters and the blinds/screens werenât all the way down. The live singing accompanied by keyboard was a nice touch, as was the photo opportunities from the cute decor.
After receiving water upon being seated, we had to stop someone to take our order after waiting for five minutes and multiple staff continuing to walk past with no intentions to stop. Prior to ordering I specifically asked our server âis there any other food items or menus in addition to this menu?â He assured me there was not. I saw the only other child in the facility eating a hamburger so I asked âwhat do the kids eat?â The server the. Proceeds to name five or so items. (He clearly missed the point in what I was asking)
The food wasâŚ..underwhelming and everything was sweet. So strange! The dishes didnât âflowâ with the side items they were served with. I got the scallops after recommendations from the server. Scallops werenât horrible, but I had to force myself to eat what they called mashed potatoes that were strangely creamy and sweet in addition to some sweet/tart diced crunchy fruit. So strange! My sister got the lobster tacos (very good she said) and the adobo chicken which again was extremely, oddly sweet. She couldnât finish it.
The key lime pie was decent at best by itself, but with everything was served with it, it made it halfway palatable. The bread pudding was good! The sâmores fondue wasnât smores, it was a bowl of melted chocolate on top of two tea candles (supposed to be three, but one was missing) that the server forgot to light until midway through and wouldnât stay lit because of the wind. This was accompanied with strawberries, large soft pretzels, and marshmallows & graham crackers. There was no way to actually make the sâmores and we didnât get the fondue sticks until we were ready to go.
My sister told the server of our lack of excitement for the dinner experience and the reason being the food was a little too sweet (sheâs nicer than me and I was in the bathroom when they asked her). After almost fifteen minutes of not seeing our server, we had to ask for our ticket so we could go. They comped some of her meal but nothing for me. Probably because I did suffer and eat most of my food, but I was hungry and tired, didnât want to deal with the hassle of trying to order something else.
On the plus side the server was nice when he was tending to us, no complaints there, but we definitely wonât be back for dinner and wouldnât recommend this place based on our experience, given what...
Read moreIâve been to this place twice now. The first time was for a date, and I could barely find it because what they post on Instagram is very deceiving compared to what you actually experience. Youâre literally sitting in a tent in a parking lot right outside the hotel. However, whoever handles their decor and social media does a great job.
That being said, while they create beautifully presented drinks and food, the taste and quality donât match, and it feels like youâre not getting your moneyâs worth. Last night, for example, I ordered the salmon, and the mashed potatoes were lukewarmâalmost coldâand some of the worst Iâve ever tasted. I hate to say that, but itâs the truth. The only thing on the plate that tasted okay, albeit very bland, was the salmon. Iâm no chef, but I felt like I couldâve done better myself.
As for the service, the servers were sweet but extremely lacking in attentiveness. While I was with my friends, our server didnât check on the food until we were halfway through or nearly done. She also didnât notice when our drinks sat empty for long periods and didnât ask if we wanted another round. My friends, who did end up ordering another round, had to flag her down to get her attention.
To top it off, my friend who ordered the sea bass ended up with food poisoning and is now spending Christmas in bed.
In conclusion, while the social media and presentation are impressive, the restaurant definitely needs to improve the food quality, service, and overall value for the price. I absolutely hate writing bad reviews like this, especially since I worked in the industry for a long time, but that experience is also why I feel confident giving an...
Read moreWe came to celebrate 2 birthdays and we got there at 7 which was our reservation. The minute we walked in she told us your table is ready and itâs actually right here which was exactly by the entrance right where the walkway was. We asked politely if we could sit somewhere else because 4 of us right in the middle of the walkway was very very inconvenient. She kind of gave us an attitude and told us we need to wait. We talked amongst ourselves decided to take the table. While seating down people would just walk past us including waters to bring the food so we said itâs not ok we want to wait for another table. Mind you there were other tables available she told us we are saving those incase we have larger groups. Anyways after waiting another 30 minutes she decided to give us the same table that she was saving for a larger group. Very unprofessional, with lots of attitude even the gentleman that was standing beside her looked liked the manager had no ounce of concern that we were being treated like that. While we were eating table next to us had the same concerns and told us the service is horrible we are waiting to order more drinks but we wonât and about to get the check to leave for another place. At the same time the entrance table was occupied 2 times with different guest and both asked to be moved to another table due to being in the middle of the walkway. Horrible horrible person at the front. Our server was okay canât blame him since he was overworked and didnât have enough time to help all those tables. They never acknowledged our bdays didnât even mentored it again:. Never ever...
