Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I am a long time fan of Jersey Mike's and have been to just about everyone in the area. I grew up in New Jersey and have been eating Jersey Mike's my whole life. This one just opened and so far I'm disappointed. Hopefully a lot is related to them starting up. I went in to order a Giant Philly Cheesesteak with Extra cheese and bacon. I place my order and was going to use a gift cert I received for Christmas. I thought the value of the gift cert was $15. I place my order and took the ticket to the cashier. I told the cashier that I thought there was $15 on the card and put a $5 on the counter to cover the rest. She rang me up and said there was enough on the card and that i had $2 left. I figured I was wrong and the card must have been a $20.I wasn't paying attention to the actual price at this time.

As my steak was cooking, the cook kept asking the cashier if she charged me for the extra cheese and bacon. When my order was ready I saw that the cook only made me a regular. When I mentioned that I ordered a Giant, the cook's response was..."That's OK she didn't charge you for the extra cheese or bacon." That explained why it fit on a $15 card and thats when I noticed I was charged less than expected. However the fact that she rang me up wrong has nothing to do with not getting what I ordered. I took the sandwich and asked for some ketchup.

For some reason Jersey Mike's has a policy about keeping Ketchup out.....every location I go to my cheesesteak gets cold while someone has to go dig out the ketchup packets. In this case it took 2 employees well over 5 minutes and when they did find them they were Hunts ketchup. I always have received Heinz ketchup at jersey mike's and every other great restaurant. I was very disappointed in having Hunts. I'm a cheesesteak connoisseur and have been eating jersey mike's for well over 25 years and never had hunts ketchup offered before.

The final nail in the coffin, was that the bacon had ZERO flavor. It tasted like nothing. I might as well have been eating cardboard. Something was definitely wrong with it.

I'll still continue to eat at Jersey Mike's but it will be a long time before I return...

On 12/18 around 3pm a grotest manager around the age of 50 -65 denied my grandmother service over a mistake made on behalf of the staff. As there was a mistake made on my sandwich she did not seem to want to deal with it and refused any solution to the issue. When i arrived at the store she proceeds to tell me that the sandwich was a different than what was ordered even though she has been ordering the same thing for years. However when I walked into the building i noticed how displeasing this woman looked. From the bags under her eyes to her stained teeth and unwashed closed , i had a revelation that if she was determined to throw her life away for this corporation over $10 i was going to gain nothing. it was an awful experience but im sure its nothing compared to what she puts her staff...

I need to stop ordering on-line at this location. They do NOT follow the notes or special instructions or anything on the on-line order and seem to always get the order wrong. Today was no exception. I unchecked the boxes for condiments and asked in special notes/instructions for them to be on the side as the sandwich was for someone I am picking up at the airport. That way the sandwich didn't get soggy. And sure enough - they put it on the bread. The guy said....I can make it over, but didn't bother since I needed to get on the road to get to the airport. NO more tips for Jersey Mike's anywhere upon ordering. I will bring cash and IF the order is made correctly (obviously not at this location since I won't be going back), I will give a tip then. So...
