A bit of a hidden gem, ambience wise. Seems to be a NEW cafe, which shows in the brand new decor. Super big patio with an impressive view of the EQUITABLE building (with, I'd assume, the Hollywood sign not far behind it--although obscured). Tons of couches, fancy chairs and tables and a bit of a garden theme. So, that was real nice. Also, I believe there is parking (likely valet) and nearby retail parking (Hanam Chain is across the street), so it's probably findable, including street parking. I walked because I live nearby.
Service came with a warm smile from the friendly baristas. Prices are a bit steeper than other comparable Korean cafes I noticed, however. Likewise, I didn't have any of the food so I can't judge it, but overall, it looked solid (a lot of variety, including interesting fusion pastries) and a handsome presentation.
Only main complain is how I didn't see many outlets nearby (if you're into studying with a laptop)--but this seems to be more of an issue in the PATIO. I prefer a more cozy vibe (like THE HISTORY COFFEE about 10 minutes away). But this is a nice new go to spot for me for a nice ambience, good vibe and good (although slightly higher priced) caffeination. Also, one of the only nice cafes in the area that closes later at 8 PM.
Finally, they seem to have a rotating "art exhibit" feature (subtle but mentioned on their website), which is a nice touch. Also, their music is quite eclectic (MoTown to Kpop), which is a fun change of pace.
Only suggestion is for the staff to clean the tables more often since they tend to be dirty from the previous customer - especially in...
Read moreI’ve been looking for a new spot to work out of and this spot is literally PERFECT. It literally checks off all the boxes you’d want out of a cafe:
REALLY good drinks including Matcha sweet staff that memorized my name fast WiFi SOOO much seating not one but TWO clean restrooms that have a key at the front so you know if it’s occupied or not without walking over they offer PASTRIES AND FOOD. Sometimes I go to cafes to work and then get super hungry but don’t wanna leave, this place has a lot of good dishes to order from which is so convenient 😭 really nice views from the second floor fun music (but I usually wear headphones to concentrate) comfortable chairs, NOT aesthetic uncomfortable wooden ones meant to make you leave quickly underground SHADED parking
I could go on and on but I’ve been looking for a cafe that really checked off all these boxes, and this place by far exceeded my expectation by miles. I love throwing my money at places like this because cafes like this are gems, and I will definitely...
Read moreUpdate: idk whats going on with the pricing anymore. My normal vanilla latte that's usually $7 and change was almost $10 last time I was here. It both looked and tasted different – there were specks of something black in it and it tasted weird which made me think they gave me the wrong drink but they just said prices went up.
Og post: I really like it here. At this point I'm a ktown cafe connoisseur and this one checks all the boxes. Great staff, open airy space with parking, good coffee, nice outdoor space. Only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is sometimes they overcharge you. The menu is right behind the counter so it's easy to notice when the register price and menu price don't match. I don't add any special milks or alter the recipe at all so can't imagine why there's...
