Cabo Cantina — Restaurant in Los Angeles

FOOD (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) - Overall, this place is solid and easily my favorite spot for two things: margaritas and their Muchos Nachos.

SERVICE (⭐️⭐️⭐️) - I have mixed feelings about the service because it tends to be hit or miss depending on either the number of staff, or how busy the place is, naturally, but with that being said, there still is a level of professionalism and hospitality that should be met, regardless of either.

There have been a few occasions where I experienced incredibly sluggish service, even for a basic order of starter drinks (had to wait at least 15-20 min for a margarita and a beer!)

During the single worst instance of service I have experienced there, I was sitting for at least 20 minutes without one server coming to check my table (which was on the outskirts near the far back left, outdoors). I would have waited even longer had I not gotten up and walked to the bar to ask one of the bartenders if there was anyone able to serve us, which she wasn't sure of herself, and had to ask someone in the back to come out and take our table.

Thankfully, this was a one-time incident, and I don't believe it's a common occurrence there, but a situation like that should never have to occur, where the customer has to go out of their way to ask for service after no form of hospitality was shown to them, for that duration of time (~25 min ). On a lighter note, I will say when they're on point, they are on POINT, and the drinks and food come damn near as fast as you order them. I would give it four or five stars if not for that experience. Bear in mind, that this is just about the SERVICE and not the food, so don't let this dissuade you from going if you are interested in trying out the cuisine. It's worth the visit.

ATMOS (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) - Lively and vibrant. The energy tends to be moderate to high by default, even if it's not packed to the brim. The music videos are a bonus to entertainment today and generally are pleasant to watch/listen to.

BONUS CHALLENGE: Try and and see if you can make the bouncer crack, a smile, even once. Good luck, because you're going to need a truckload of it, and some mage...

Great food when prepared as ordered! On my third visit, the meal was prepared incorrectly, for the third time. Each tine someone at my table expresses concern to the server she responded in a way which was evident that she was not paying attention. I decided to speak to the manager. I explained to him that we were the first ones in the establishment and it took almost an hour to prepare 3 burritos and no appetizers for our table. I was seriously disappointed that he approached the situation with annoyance about food that I was paying for. Also, he gave the perception that a45 minutes for a burrito was cool and that my food prepared incorrectly was acceptable (my burrito was imbalanced one side was full of protein and the other all pico and cheese) which I admitted I did not notice until after scarfed down the protein side. He further displayed a lack of concern and poor listening skills by taking up my friends napkin and throwing it on top of her unfinished meal and passively arguing with her that she said that her food waa also inedible. Then expressing more annoyance when she denied wanting to eat the meal that she was not done with because he threw her dirty napkin on it.

My extensive post is to highlight that while the food and drinks were bomb, customer service on that particular day was not. We had 2 positive experiences prior to this and the place deserves the stars but quality customer service...

The worst place ever the owner is rude, don't make you feel welcome. He asked me for my card to put on hold for drinks. Which I was perfectly okay with that. However I always use my capital card, for one reason I can lock it with my phone and not let them use untill I unlocked it for purchase which I never do. I only use capital one card for places that want to hold your card, I've had bad experience with places like this that keep charging extra drinks that you did not consume. Before I came in to Cabo cantina in wilshere I made sure I checked their reviews, and one guy clearly said that they charge him for drinks he did not consume. Now it all made sense I step out to the restroom and still had my drink 3/4 full plus my food had just got there and the guy already start running my card like if I was ready to leave or he was thinking I had left with out paying. Came back in 5 min and he asked me for another car , cause the one I gave him was declined I told him it's not declined it's locked and you can only run it when I give you the GO! Plus im paying cash. Since I new they still money from your card. So trust and believe I will never come here again . Yes it's a nice place and some of you guys will like , but I had the worst experience in my first time visiting that I will never look back...
