I’ve been going to this spot for over 2 years. A friend recommended this place and I loved it so I recommended it to friends and family. Last time I went I had a terrible experience with their customer service. I’m 28 but I look like 20 and so does the people I was with. Not sure if this influenced the service we received. We sat down and we got this girl assigned to our table. She was rude. She would walk away before we could even finish ordering. She would forget to bring plates we ordered. This continued for a while she would come and bring the food and walk away mid asking her for something. A few minutes later a Korean family entered and she was the complete opposite to them. She even put the food on the grill for them, cooked the meat for them and check on them often. So when she decided to come and pick up on of the empty plates I asked her if we needed to pay extra for them to cook for us. Which I know we don’t have to. And she laughed and walked away. After that she sent another person to attend us. She stopped cooking for the other table as well. We asked the person who came and help us why she treated us that way. He stated she was new but it didn’t look like it. We didn’t see her after until it was time to pay and she came and said thank you. Of course she wanted me to leave tip which we did but not for her but for the other person that took over. She was not only very unprofessional at her job but also racist and gave us a different treatment not sure if was based on look. Like I said I might look younger than my age but that doesn’t mean we should be given a different customer service experience. Not going here again. I no longer...
Read moreFor the price of $37.99 per person for AYCE, it really is a steal in the area, considering there are so many surrounding kbbq spots competing against each other. At that price point, I wasn't expecting filet mignon or rib eye to be on the menu, but it was! I personally love meats that are unseasoned because if the meat is fresh, the natural flavors and juices will show. Plus, that's what dipping sauces are for. I enjoyed the filet mignon, rib eye, beef tongue, brisket and the
PARKING: $4 VALET on site or you can try to find free parking in the neighborhood. IMO, it's just easier to pay for valet and get it over with so you can enjoy your meal sooner. They did a fantastic job with parking our car and pulling it up so it was easy for us to get out of the parking lot. Make sure to tip them if they do a superb job!
SERVICE: It seems like this spot is a hit or miss with service, but we got lucky and our server, Daniel, was super attentive to our needs. He constantly changed our grills before we could even ask for a grill change, and made sure that we always put our meat orders in. I noticed that other tables had to wait longer for their orders because they had a different server. My experience and rating for this kbbq based on service alone would have been very different if Daniel was not our server. Guess we just got super lucky...
Read moreWe had a horrible experience at TGI KBBQ last night and wanted to try a different restaurant. I’ve been planning to come to this restaurant for many years now ever since I saw it featured on the “Worth It” KBBQ episode on Buzzfeed many years ago. Right off the bat, there was a noticeable difference in quality of customer service compared to TGI. The servers checked in on us frequently to ensure we would always have meat to grill, and changed our grills without waiting for us to ask. Exceptional Service! The front desk personnel could be a bit more welcoming but he wasn’t overly rude by any means. The structure of this restaurant is a little different from what we were used to as the servers will occasionally cook for you. It was a nice change and we appreciated that they were willing to take the time to do this. As for the quality of their meat options, I’d say that they’re pretty decent. We’ve had better quality from other restaurants but for the price point, we found it to be quite reasonable. Parking is valet only, which appears to be trend nowadays in LA KBBQ restaurants. But $3 is not going to break the bank. The valet employee was also courteous and very professional. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone from out of town and want to enjoy themselves without having to deal...
