I would gladly give this place 0 stars. Firstly, all is made with imitation crab meat. No ramen comes with boiled egg or garlic, and both cost extra.
Now about the service, my friend ordered and received her ramen before the rest of us. She found a black hair in the soup. We wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, because we could see that the cooks had hats on, and my friend also had black hair. So, she plucked a strand of her own hair, dipped it in ramen, and laid it next to the hair we found. Completely different texture, thickness, and curl pattern from the hair we found. We asked for the manager, showed him both hairs, and said we would like to leave.
The manager asked us to pay for the ramen that the remaining three of us ordered, but hadn't received yet. We responded calmly that we weren't interested in eating there anymore, and would not be paying for food we hadn't received. The manager said that we ordered it, so we were free to leave, after paying for our food. Then he walked away. We sat and waited for another 3 minutes, then brought enough cash to him to pay for what we had eaten already, and to tip our server.
He had a phone in his hand, and said that he was calling the police on us, and yelled to us as we left that he had us on camera....on camera paying for the food we ate. It seems fair to mention that we are a group of young black people. I wonder if this interaction was an instance of gross racial profiling, or if the service is really this horrible for customers of all backgrounds. No matter who you are, I recommend you steer well clear...

*...I was confused by Google saying this is a Japanese restaurant. I saw no sushi on the menu.
We weren't acknowledged when we entered the restaurant because all the servers were in the back. There is a wall/pillar in the middle of the restaurant that blocks the view. The servers got our orders wrong more than once. Even when they wrote down the meats on their note pad, the wrong ones came out. In the beginning we just ate whatever they gave us, but then we figured out that they would give us things we didn't ask for and omit the ones we did.
They have two options on the menu: A or B. I like that they made it clear which items make B different. (Some places list everything and make you determine what wasn't printed twice.) They charge extra for some items, like steamed egg and Korean ramen.
Meat quality overall was good. Of all the items I tried, I enjoyed the filet mignon best. Brisket was good, but the beef tongue was inconsistent. The salad could have been better; I'm not too big of a fan of cabbage salad. I think they were out of cucumber kimchi because they gave us a pink pickled radish instead.
The menu says you can get a free soda for writing a Yelp review. Credit card accepted. Gratuity is automatically added for 6 or...
Read moreFinally got to try out PZK Korean BBQ, and it was really delicious. Banchan selection was generous and really yummy, their kimchi was so good! Along with combo options and ordering off the menu by item, there was also a worthwhile all you can eat option which my fiancé and I opted for. We tried the marinated short rib, bulgogi (got it twice), x-girlfriend, thin pork belly, and x-boyfriend. The marinades were subtle, the spice level for the x-boyfriend was very subtle, and the dipping sauce was excellent. They also serve alcohol so we partook of some soju. Ethan helped cook some of the meat at our table, he was one of the owners and very friendly.
We’re super excited to have a kbbq option closer to the WeHo area with both per item ordering as well as AYCE options, and will make it a regular stop.
Each table had its own vent overhead, but tables look like they only seat up to 4, so not sure if you’d have to split up if you’ve got a larger group. They’ve only been open for a few months and I hope they can stay in business, I was happy to support them and will be recommending them to friends.
For parking, they share a valet with Angelini Osteria but if you can park a couple blocks north in the neighborhood you may be able to find free residential parking, or meters...
