Great drinks ruined by unapproachable and unfriendly staff member.

Came by on Sunday at noon on the last day of the AFK Journey collaboration event. The AFK Journey staff are great, wish I could say the same for the staff preparing drinks.

They have to self service kiosk, but imaging having them take your orders. The place is spacious, high ceilings, plenty of seating. Nice location and not too busy

The event drinks and usual are great. We got both the event drinks, Thai tea, and lychee oolong tea. The avocado sesame drink was delicious, you can taste the avocado and sesame whereas other places, the avocado is hardly noticeable. Sweetness and texture was perfect to my liking.

What really soured the experience was the staff member calling out orders and serving drinks at that time. Must’ve been in a bad mood or having a bad days but it’s inexcusable for them to be in the service industry. Or just make drinks and don’t talk to customers.

She basically called out numbers and left drinks for multiple orders out and basically had us figure out ourselves whose drink went with what order. Sure, let me pick up each drinks and check if it’s mine. Thanks!

We asked for a bag for our four drinks, since we weren’t going to drink them right away. She gave us the dirtiest look like it was such an inconvenience for her. She took out the bag and handed us one finally but the look of questioning why we had asked for bags was so disrespectful. This place really needs to train their staff on customer service. It wasn’t even that busy!

I’ve gone to Gardena, Rowland heights, and other locations and didn’t get this horrible treatment. Gardena actually packed it up in a bag for us when we ordered 4 drinks and even gave us the appropriate straws for our drinks.

I’ll go back when there’s an exclusive event, but the service here leaves much...

Update- John responded and we discussed in length about boba overall (types of drinks, sweetness levels, etc.) He treated me to a few drinks and definitely made up for the poor experience. I love that he values customer feedback and experience! Really enjoyed speaking with him.

Was there last night and quality + service has gone downhill. Used to go once every couple of weeks but won’t be visiting this location anymore. Got an Oreo Brûlée with 25% sweetness. When I tried the drink, it definitely felt like 100% - pretty much diabetes in a cup. I asked if there’s anything we could do to dilute the sweetness. The worker said no, the brûlée is what makes it sweet so they can’t adjust it. I wonder what the different sweetness levels even mean… because if I wanted 25% sweet then shouldn’t you adjust the amount of brûlée, if you can’t do anything else? But my cup was obviously full of brûlée- you can tell because they put in around the inside of the cup. At other boba shops, they offer to remake drinks or save them by adding unsweetened tea, etc. When I asked, she said she can’t because it’d be a different drink. I left disappointed and had to throw...

Sooo they’re supposed to be the SAME drink. Brown Sugar Boba Espresso Oat Latte. This is actually the remake because the first one didn’t taste right. The 2nd one tasted worse. This is the only drink i get from Sunright and im so dissatisfied with this location. Its actually the 2nd time i go here and the first time wasn’t so great either. Every other location knows how to make it right. Again, these are supposed to be the same drink. One has more boba than the other. One has more ice than the other. One is clearly darker than the other. This drink is so good at every other Sunright but at this one it always taste like dirt, literally.

*UPDATE - the comment they made saying they would “make it right” was a lie ! They really made the excuse that they couldn’t find my order. I provided my phone number for rewards , the exact order and time i was there but they didn’t offer a replacement or anything. They just make you feel like they care by replying but they just let you vent a lil and they move on with their day lol Im just writing this review so you don’t waste your time and money at...
