If you’re a fan of authentic Japanese izakayas, this spot is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the cozy, lively atmosphere that’s perfect for a night out with friends or a relaxed solo meal. The star of the show, though, is the incredible skewers—specifically the chicken tail, heart, and liver. The chicken tail is crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of smokiness from the grill. The heart is grilled to perfection, offering a deliciously rich flavor that’s savory without being overpowering. The liver is an absolute must-try—it's melt-in-your-mouth smooth and just the right balance of earthy and flavorful.

What makes the experience even better is the selection of beers, which pair beautifully with the skewers. Whether you’re into a crisp, cold lager or a full-bodied brew, their beer selection perfectly complements the flavors of the food. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure your glass is always full and that you’re enjoying your meal to the fullest.

If you love quality food, good drinks, and an inviting atmosphere, this izakaya is a must-visit. Can't...

In the middle of a long day, it was a pleasure to sit down and relax here. I was just passing by and noticed that they are open for lunch from 11-2 (which might not show up on one's initial google search as of today). I ordered the cold soba plate from their lunch menu and teriyaki wings from their yakitori menu as well as a beer brewed with sweet potatoes. The highlight of this order was the teriyaki wings, which were succulent and slightly charred. I got everything for less than $30, not including tip.

I appreciated the service and the atmosphere. The interior was Japan-inspired and stylish, yet inviting. The location is both convenient and lively around the center of Little Tokyo. And they validate parking in the lot nearby!

I highly recommend Izakaya Go and am looking forward to coming back to try their happy hour and dinner. This was a great experience and might be even better if I bring people with me to share good company and good food. I wish it were closer to me, but I would do the 40-minute drive just for this place and, as a bonus, dessert or a nightcap nearby.

Thank you Izakaya Go! I hope to...

This place is a gem for sushi lovers and anyone craving a fantastic dining experience! I recently visited with friends, and we were blown away by the fresh, flavorful sushi. Make sure to book a reservation—this spot gets busy fast!

We indulged in a feast, sampling everything from chicken, steak, and shrimp skewers to an array of rolls and sashimi. Every bite was mouthwatering, with the sashimi being so fresh it practically melted in our mouths. The menu has an impressive selection, catering to all tastes, whether you’re a sushi purist or looking for something grilled. Pair that with a few rounds of sake, and it’s a perfect night out.

The chefs passion for what they do really shines through. This is hands-down my new go-to sushi spot, and I’ve already made a reservation to return....
