Genuinely disappointed with the service we received. I brought out-of-town family here for a special holiday celebration, and it was a complete letdown. They wouldn’t let us move tables despite having a reservation. We were seated at the very front of the restaurant, right by the wide-open door, leaving us freezing—this was during a dead time when the restaurant wasn't crowded even after two hours. Our server spilled a cocktail all over two guests, ruining clothes and shoes, and shattered glass everywhere. To top it off, our food was served late with no silverware, forcing us to eat cold meals. He never came back to even check on us. Mistakes happen, but the lack of any effort to make up for it—no comped beverage, no apology beyond the bare minimum-is unacceptable, especially given how much we spent. This place is very unassuming, but my friends who live close by recommended to me because of their smash burger and the to-go piña colada. The smash burger was amazing — very simple, just patties, cheese, pickles and a sauce, but it was extremely memorable for how unexpected it was as a menu item at a taco shop. The pina colada was great on a hot Sunday afternoon as well. I also tried a carne asada taco which was slightly small, but a solid amount of meat, and what looked like a homemade corn tortilla. My teens (daughters),friend, her little Victoria (happy girl in blue)and I were there on 02/23/2023 The food does not disappoint! The mole tacos are delicious! We had shrimp, asada, and mole tacos, esquite, sweet potato fries, French fries, 2 margaritas and 3 tamales! I almost forget about the delicious ice cream!
