Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Lubbock

Went to this location on Thursday August 8th, 2013 to enjoy Sunday's. While walking up to the entrance we stopped and waited a guy to take pictures (explain later) we then continued inside and asked for the 89cent sundays. (2-5 special) It was 4:55pm. The cashier asked what special? I showed him and he stated he was unaware of that special until now. Then he said its after 5, I showed him it was only 4:55 by my phone (national time) he said I have to go by the computer. Guess what!? After I paid...my receipt said 4:56...imagine that!! I showed the cashier he shrugged his shoulders. I looked for the GM and noticed he was playing around as usual. I then ran across an employee that was leaving and I asked who the man was that was taking pictures outside, he said it was one of the 'big guys' and that he just walked out the back. He then told me he was an assistant manager and I proceeded to tell him about my visit...that's when he told me they guy that rung me up was an assistant manager!! HA! Yes!!?? He wasn't even aware of their special?? He also seemed unprofessional, shrugging his shoulders?? I told him I tried to get the GM's attention but he was too busy laughing in the hallway going to the kitchen, anyways he told me there's nothing he could do now because it was already after 5 and I should have caught him before 5. Can you believe that!? Wow! Well....I then called their corporate office and left a message and can you guess??? Same customer service as the store...no follow up call!! ALL IN ALL, they basically false advertise then turn up their clocks and rip customers off the last 5 minutes of their...

Never in my life have I seen a fast food restaurant, or any food place, spend so much time ARGUING with the CUSTOMER about what they ordered/received. We ordered 3 combos, you give us 3 entrees, 3 drinks, but only 2 sides? Then you INSIST we got our fries... never even ordered fries, all 3 were supposed to be tots. “Oh well we charged you for fries on one so it’s a price difference to get tots”... well you didn’t even give us fries to begin with, you shorted us from what we paid for, and YOU screwed up the order and ARGUED about it, so just give us the damn tots and let us go home!? We said we’d just take the fries instead and leave, and they STILL INSISTED THEY ALREADY GAVE US FRIES. All this over a freaking $2 side item?? If we say we didn’t get it, WE DIDN’T GET IT. We aren’t trying to scam you over a side of fries!? All of us work in restaurants/hospitality and were so disgusted by what just happened and the behavior of the employees. Will never eat DQ again in any state after...

Got to the window and was immediately handed my drink and 2 blizzards, its 95+ today and needless to say the blizzards immediately started to melt and drip all over my center console. A few minutes later someone finally comes to the window amd asked me to please pull forward to wait longer for my food. I hand him back the blizzards that have now leaked all over my center console and down into my cup holders and floor. He gives me some napkins and I pull forward. Almost 15 minutes later he comes out with my food and 2 new blizzards that immediately started dripping all over my console again. I live 2 minutes from there. By the time I got home I had two cups of liquid that had spilled all over my truck again.

By the time I got done cleaning it up the food was cold.

Food was still good, but please, figure out a container that won't let blizzards spill all...
