Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Lyndon

Jason's Deli is a welcome break from soup/sandwich/salad shops.

This location is pretty easy to get to, and parking is plentiful. When we arrived on this Sunday morning they had been open about 1/2 hour, and most of the people sitting eating were employees. The store was impressively clean. I love the atmosphere at Jason's. It's pretty laid back and homey.

The menu at Jason's is enormous, with various types of soups, sandwiches, wraps, baked potatoes, and a sizable salad bar. Each location also has a number of local specialties as well. My personal favorite is the Ranchero Wrap. Your order is placed at a counter (if there's a line you can look at the menu ahead of time), and you get a plastic number to place on the table for order delivery. While you're waiting for your meal you can get your beverage (I recommend the Black Currant iced tea) and, for your snacking pleasure, they also offer a couple types of mini-muffins. For dessert, FREE ice cream!

Of course, the ice cream is supposed to come after your meal, but who says you can't sneak a little ahead of your meal, or find a somewhat logical way to work it into your meal?

Food delivery times are pretty decent, and it took less than ten minutes for our food to arrive. It was fresh, hot, tasty, and prepared just the way we wanted it. When the food is delivered we were asked if we needed anything else, and our extra napkins were delivered in no time.

When you're done with your meal, you can get up and leave. Jason's cleans the tables, so you don't need to take care of a thing. In fact, the staff was busy hustling while we were there, making sure things were ready for the upcoming lunch rush.

I love the food and used to go to the one on Hurstbourne Ln. all the time, but one day for lunch when I was leaving I went around the salad bar towards the front door and there was a really slick, wet spot on the floor. Needless to say I fell straight down on both of my knees. I was more embarrassed and physically hurt than I was upset that I fell in their dining room. The issue was that after I got up and started limping out of the place, one of the workers behind the counter was laughing at me when I told him about the spill. There was NO concern on whether I was okay or not. He laughed and said, "I'll get someone to get that." I will not be returning to Jason's Deli now or ever again. I have been in customer service for 14 yrs. now and this was the worst customer service I have ever...

Purchased Salad and soup. Began to make salad when ZANDER ( Xander) told me if I wanted to put my items in a separate container ( which was provided at the bar area) then I'd have to pay extra because if items aren't put in the salad container together it's considered sides. This salad was for my daughter who suffers from high functioning Autism. She loves loves Jason's Deli but doesn't like her food to touch, get soggy, etc. In addition this character of a Man followed me while I made the salad then asked for the small containers ( not yet used) back, then tossed said containers in the trash.
