Seoul Bowl Express Alderwood Mall — Restaurant in Lynnwood

I used to come here a lot for lunch, but this place has completely gone downhill. The bowl that used to be full of veggies now came with barely a hint of cabbage, everything was greasy, salty, and even disgusting.

Their online order system is a total scam. They take your money first, but don’t prepare your food until you show up and complain. Then they scribble your order down like you never placed it online. No apologies, no explanation, nothing. I ordered for pickup at 12:00, didn’t get my food until 12:26. To make it worse, the server didn’t even bother to let me know when it was ready—I was literally five feet away and still had to walk up and ask if that food was mine.

The counter was a mess, the staff had no clue how to treat customers or manage the place, and even the rice cake that used to be drenched in sauce had nothing but a sad drizzle on top. This place is a disaster now so never coming back. And don’t trust their pictures either. You won’t get anything like the bowl they show on their website. It actually used to look like that before, but...

I have eaten at other Seoul Bowls before and the sandwich I had from this location today was honestly gross. The chicken was WAY over cooked and was chewy and stringy. The sweet and spicy sauce was only in one little spot. And it took quite a bit longer than I’d expected, even though they were not at all busy. No acknowledgment upon walking up or ordering (on the screen), either. I was looking forward to this sandwich and the whole thing was a major letdown. The music is way too loud when you walk up to the counter to order. I think they have a carnival/ food truck vibe, but it doesn't really work at the mall. For a place that is called "Seol Bowl," they definitely don't have any spirit. The employees are almost non-existent and won't even acknowledge you if you have any questions. I had it twice. Won't go back again.
