Their food menu is small, with some extra items now available Thursday through Sunday – but it's about the beer anyway, right?! 😉 Pretty much anything on their menu would pair nicely with a glass/can of beer.
𝔽𝕆𝕆𝔻 𝕄𝔼ℕ𝕌: The spice level on the buffalo chicken sandwich is bold for not having your choice of sauces. I would call the heat level slightly above average, so if you tend to stick to mild wings, it would probably be too hot for you. It was just perfect for me, however!!!! I loved the taste of their buffalo sauce, and the chicken was covered in a generous amount of it. Very moist and saucy, just the way a buffalo chicken sandwich should be!
The beer sausage was served on plate, which surprised us because it didn't specify "no bun" on the menu. It came with aesthetically pleasing dollops of both yellow mustard and picked mustard seeds for dipping.
The wood fired oyster was perfectly served on a plate reminiscent of grandma's fine china, defining its elegance from the rest of the "bar food's." 😄
Previously, I had a carryout of the MMB Burger, which was very flavorful with the aged beef. I also enjoyed the tomato soup once.
Another night, we got a carryout of wings. They had flavorful sauce, but as a person on a mission trying wings from every place who serves them, it's important to point out that they don't cut the tips off the wings. I personally prefer them cut, even when I make my own at home, so I just wanted to mention that in case someone else has the same preference (I would still order them again though).
𝔾ℝ𝔼𝔸𝕋 𝕊𝔼ℝ𝕍𝕀ℂ𝔼: I also want to add there is a great level of service. Our first time dining in, they were out of both the drink and food item I wanted. I am not at all complaining, nor putting them down, (it was late at night after all), and I am only bringing it up because I want to mention how wonderfully our server handled it; so kind delivering the news and helpful with detailed describing of other suggestions.
She was training a new employee and both were extremely friendly, fun, and attentive to us. In between customers, every single member of the staff was working on a project, cleaning up appliances and surfaces, etc, but that did not at all interfere with our servers checking back in with us at times.
The main server knows her menu and made sure to explain which items came with what. For example, my husband asked if he could get a side of fries with his beer sausage, as the menu made no mention to side items. She made sure he understood that particular item didn't come with fries, so they would be an extra add on. That is what he was requesting, but I thought it was good service that she took the time to make sure they were on the same page.
ℂ𝕆𝕄𝔽𝕆ℝ𝕋𝔸𝔹𝕃𝔼 𝔸𝕋𝕄𝕆𝕊ℙℍ𝔼ℝ𝔼: The atmosphere was relaxed at 8pm on a weeknight (after they just extended hours) with an inside volume level great for conversing. The restaurant has mostly regular tables with chairs, although there are a few tables paired with a booth seat on at least one side. On nice days, you'll find the garage door open for fresh air, extending into outside seating. The bar has teal-green cushioned stools in front of two large TVs. On your way to the restroom (or backdoor), be sure to take a look at the brewing equipment!
And, don't forget to purchase one of their select 32oz...
Read moreCelebrated my husband's 35th birthday last night. We are avid Craft Beer drinkers, and love supporting local breweries, so our hearts truly sank after last night's meal.
Interior: Very sophisticated, white walls and open space & kitchen truly set the tone. Lots of four person tables and a few booths hug the walls. Very slight touch of greenery embraces the wall leading up to the bar. Unfortunately, if they were attempting to go for a "theme", you wouldn't have been able to identify one. The only thing that resembles a milk jug is the water pitchers at each table. I would think of this more restaurant than brewery.
Service: Our waitress was very distant. We had to call over two other servers to take our dirty appetizer plates away that had been sitting there for quite some time after we were finished. The couple we were with asked for the bacon to be put on the side for their Brussel Sprout appetizer - that was not honored. Our waitress never asked us how everything tasted, or really made an effort to ensure we needed anything. We had to keep flagging her down or identifying another server to assist. We also had a few basic questions on the menu that she struggled through, answering.
Food: Super disappointed for the high prices. The four of us all got different dishes - Burger, Flatbread, the "Slice of Pizza," the Cuban, "Chips and Dip," and the Brussel Sprouts. A lot of our main dishes were returned uneaten - that's never a good sign, and we didn't ask for boxes, either. My husband finished his burger, but said it was mediocre. They were also out of the cheese curds. Afterward, we ended up going to the Palmer across the street because we were still hungry.
Beer/Cocktails: Really, good! But nothing that stood out where we can't get elsewhere for cheaper. Your average pint there runs $8/$9. If I had to recommend a cocktail - Sweater Weather! It tasted just like a Snickerdoodle. It was comforting and made very well, all cocktails came with beautiful glassware.
Overall: After walking away with a $90 check, unfortunately, we will not be returning but are so incredibly happy we can mark this off our list of supporting for...
Read moreThis was our 2nd time eating at Milk Money Brewing. We brought my dad for Father’s Day because we had enjoyed the food, beer and cocktails…in October.
Unfortunately, our 2nd experience was sub par at best. One reason we liked this restaurant was because they said their prices reflect taxes and tip to give the servers a fair wage. This does not seem to be the case anymore. Natalie, our server, made it perfectly clear that a tip was expected when she processed our payment.
Natalie was part of our poor experience. When she sat us, she emphasized the fact that we were coming in close to closing time (5:30 for a 7pm close).
Another review had stated that they have a full bar. This is not the case. Although the menu has “specialty” cocktails listed and implies that they do have a full bar, the cocktails are “pre made”, which Natalie kept referencing. She made us feel stupid for wanting to customize our cocktails because this was a “brewery”. Like we shouldn’t even be trying to order mixed drinks. Don’t have a cocktail menu if you don’t want to serve mixed drinks.
We had to ask Natalie several times for more water and to have our dirty dishes taken away, which she never did.
It’s a real shame that this local business was a disappointment the second time around. That is the true test for a good restaurant…holding the same high standard multiple times.
Would not recommend. Will...
