Mickey's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Mackinaw Township

Here's some sdvice.....if you're going to close your shop an hour earlier than your posted times you have on your storefront and on your Google search....maybe change your times altogether so people don't waste their time to drive there just to see you're closed.

You can't say you're open till 11 p.m everyday if you are closing your store at 10 when you feel the need to. Hopefully everyone reading this takes note of how unprofessional your response was as a business owner and takes their money and business elsewhere. For the record, just reading your response , I would never come to you for any advice on any type of work or business...

Great small Mom & Pop ice cream place. No joke on how big the single scoop bowl/cup is! I am known for being able to eat ice cream like no other, and I barely got through a quarter of it before having to place it in my hotel freezer. Good selection of flavors, being my birthday I had to go with the birthday cake flavor. $3.90 as of Sept. 17, 2019 for the single scoop bowl/cup. It is cash only which, given the charges to use a card in the city, keeps costs low. Native of Michigan but, from the lower end and still got great service. All in how you approach people...remember, honey better than vinegar...

I see many of the ratings were from a year ago and were very positive. We were told they recently changed owners and the quality has dropped. We tried to get ice cream there today. The staff were incredibly rude. They were out of things like malt. And although they advertised Mooney’s ice cream it was actually Deans a much lower quality. When this was pointed out the server said “Whatever it’s the same.” When there are ten other ice cream places within a half mile there was no need to go to this foul smelling place.
