Barberitos — Restaurant in Macon

This location has become too inconsistent for me. When I first started frequenting it, the service and food were excellent. However, during my last two visits, the food was mediocre at best, and the service was fine but nothing over the top.

My visit last week was okay; I tried using my birthday reward but ended up getting charged even after scanning my QR code. I only know this because I basically had to beg the cashier for my receipt after doing tap pay. I always order a chicken salad, and while the chicken last week was a little juicy, it was still on the drier side. I didn’t expect much since it was later in the evening.

Today’s visit was disappointing as well. The quality of the chicken being served should be a cause for concern. I ordered through the app, hoping this visit would be better, but the chicken was charred beyond belief—it was honestly a waste of the double meat I ordered. I wasn’t expecting the chicken to be so tough to eat. I also paid for extra rice but received only a small splatter, as if someone had scraped the remnants off a spoon.

The only positive was that I had enough chicken to pick through to fill me up before the rest was thrown out. Both visits have confirmed that I need to give Barberitos a break until they can get...

I work down the street from this Barberitos and usually order through DoorDash pretty frequently. There is always something wrong or missing in the orders, but this order today was the worst. First, I get a call saying they are out of salad bowls so I couldn’t have a salad (I ordered my food right when they opened but okay, no biggie.) 2. There were two separate orders of burritos with cheese dips within my order and they brought us one bag with about 1/8 of the bag with chips for 2 cheese dips and the burritos were on top of the chips smashing them. 3. I specially typed in instructions twice to not put chipotle ranch on my order because this has happened several times, and once again I received chipotle ranch on my meal. ( The menu on DoorDash says y’all have plain ranch, so you may want to update if that’s why I keep getting chipotle ranch). 4. The other burrito in my order for my friend was suppose to have avocado slices which cost $3 more and there were no avocado slices. I came in for lunch as I always do on 10/04. He (Phil) ran out of every protein but spicy chicken and told me that I came in at the wrong time they just got done with a lunch rush. I proceeded to get a cheese quesadilla with veggies but he was rushing me so much and not actively listening that he made the wrong thing so he had to remake my order. Once I got down to the next worker I said I wanted sautéed onions he told me that next time I have to state that with Phil and he will go ahead and do it since I didn’t know. Phil heard part of it and jumped all down this young guys throat. I will never go there again he was rude to me, rude to the workers, and rushing.
