If you are any kind of identifiable minority, I DO NOT recommend this institution. You do not want to spend $40k a year to be oppressed in thought and speech, by professors who have a “do as I say, not as I do,” mentality. Several Mercer Law Professors and Staff are happy to preach lofty standards to include equity, ethics, and opportunity, but in mass do not practice their own teachings in everyday application. As a legal institution, Mercer Law has work to do to better themselves. It will take several staff changeovers to actually enforce real meaningful change that will ever make this institution welcoming to minority students.
To the small, small fraction of Professors and Staff who live according to their own teachings, thank you. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed – just overwhelmingly...
Read moreIt is absolutely astonishing to read the bad reviews from individuals who have nothing to do with my institution. There is indeed racism in middle Georgia, but I find the negative comments unfounded as someone who had been a part of conversations to address the issue. There is always work to be done as long as humans exist. As a student, I enjoyed my time and learned a lot. Mercer isn’t racist, but the system is for sure. The key to success is remembering that you are in middle Georgia and being the change that you...

It seems the school promotes slandering people without fact finding and due process. Teaching them it’s OK to “wipe away” the names of those we disagree with or don’t like what they’re saying. I commend Mr Wood for all he has done and is still doing to open the eyes of the American people to the corruption in every level of our government. God bless him and God...
