So I've been living in this area for 3yrs and coming to this sorry lack luster rude management and worker's Pizza Hut for the 3yrs I lived here. This place is so terrible I travel all the way to the Pizza Hut on Vandyke/13mile or the Pizza Hut on Woodward before coming to this John R Madison Heights location which is only 2miles away from my house... So anyway today June 25,2023 we order the Big New Yorker PIZZA and after waiting 25 mins for one Pizza to cook we go in to pick it up and the manager TAYLOR tells us "Oh we gotta remake it because the pepperoni shifted over to the cheese half of the Pizza. So that makes no sense but okay back to the car to wait another 20mins for the new Pizza to cook. GO Back in for the new Pizza and it's completely flat like cardboard and had no cheese on it was so burnt you woulda thought we asked for burnt pizza. THIS TAYLOR looks at me and says it's supposed to look like this. I say you think this is acceptable!?!?! He says "Yep!" An I quote. So I show him the Pizza we ordered on a internet add and I say you see the difference??? He says yep that one is extra pepperoni so that's why it looks better. Lmao!!! Are you serious??? All the problems I ever had at this Madison Heights location this just took the cake!!! Now I'm calling corporate first thing in the morning. You guys suck terribly and need to shut down. Read moreOn July 1, my children and I spent the whole day at summer camps, cleaning the house, and running errands. In the afternoon, our special dinner was going to pizza hut. Yes, pizza hut of all places. We walked three miles to the Pizza at 31315 Van Dyke Ave, Warren, MI 48093 with a wagon and a steel water bottle in 70 degrees. After about an hour and half of walking we arrived at the Pizza Hut. Tired, hungry and accomplished, ready for our treat. As soon as we entered, a woman of large size with a blond ponytail and unclean shirt told us, and I quote," You can not bring the water bottle in here." I said, " it's empty, there is nothing inside." She said "you can't fill up in here and you can't have it in here." The empty water bottle that moments ago was filled with the last ice water to sustain my children not collapsing in the sun. I looked at my children, no need to explain their disappointment.
A t the location, there are not fountain drinks at the location accessible to patrons. So there is not boards or policies stating that someone who walked over an hour would not be able to bring an an empty water bottle.
This was clearly discrimination and my children and I were denied services after walking over an hour to Pizza Hut. Does Pizza have a policy about steel water canters when patrons walk over an hour to their locations? Is this policy enough to refuse services? First time I called to order, the boy that took the order seemed disoriented and hung up on me mid order which left me puzzled. 2nd time my wife called, she (different person) read back the order correctly. I go to collect, it was $19 for a single pizza. Fine. I get home and open it to find out it was a basic supreme pizza and not what was ordered at all. (Heart shaped bbq chicken something) My wife was very upset that we overpaid for a basic pizza that she doesn’t like, but had to take it due to time constraints for work. It’s my bad I didn’t check when collecting and to know what I’m getting, it was a very bad experience especially it being the first for here. I’m increasingly noticing the poor quality of dine-in and take out experiences in the United States, a lot of the time not worth going out anymore. Poor quality, more expensive, slow, higher tips based on expensive order despite all this. This review was just one of the many similar instances elsewhere, and was simply memorable due to my wife being upset for a day because she was looking forward to it very much.
