This is a local favorite with multiple generations of customers. Very basic menu for this type of business and great cold treats. Picnic tables under an attached covered area which also has a fireplace. I don't know if they use the fireplace in cold weather, but seems like a nice idea. This is located near the river, and benches are available facing the water. The waterfront walks and with benches are also nearby. NOTE: NO RESTROOMS ON SITE. There are restrooms at a nearby park which maintenance is lacking. A long walk or short drive for restrooms are a big disappointment. Overall, a good place, especially for it's nostalgia. 9-17-2024 On the way back from Friendship Flea Market, we stopped for a quick bite. Tuesday evening, so no crowd to contend with. Food was good, large French fry servings though fries are inch in length, burgers and fish are OK, great shakes. Summer Flys are a problem, no restrooms are a disappointment, good view of the river. There are better bargains for eating options in town, but this is mostly a nostalgia experience.

This place is awesome in the summer time and pretty much anytime they are open. For some reason Google maps suggest its closed down however it is not it opens up spring/summer time and stay open all the way up until October 12pm to 9pm. The have all kind of treats like the footlong chilli dog, giant pretzel and cheese, double decker burger, fish, Sundays, soft serve, then more chillbilly treats than I can name in cone, cups, waffle cones. I mean literally everything on the menu looked delicious and amazing. The service was beyond friendly helpful and fast serving. They have a little outside patio like area you can sit and enjoy your treats at or since its right downtown there are plenty places and benches for you to sit and enjoy the beautiful sceneries and river view. If you haven't given then a try yet I highly recommend especially on a hot day. It will be just the thing to cool you and the kiddos down and give ya the lil extra boost to keep walking the riverfront if you are.

Our ice cream was pretty good. I got the M&M Brain freeze and my sister got the Brownie Delight. Her's was really good with the hot brownie, ice cream, whipped cream and hot fudge except it didn't have too much hot fudge and definitely needed more. My Brain Freeze had lots of M&M's and and was good but to be honest I don't think I would want just vanilla ice cream from there because I didn't think it had a whole of taste but it was good with the M&M's mixed in. We loved sitting in our car facing the river, it's a really pretty sight. I would eat there again but unless they get better vanilla ice cream I wouldn't go out of my way. Except maybe for the view. I gave 4 stars for the view and because of the Brownie Delight.
