Staying at the Lowell Center, I was thirsty and wanted a newspaper (since I missed the free ones at the Lowell.) Going to State Street one is forced to run the gauntlet of pan handlers, I just wasn't in the mood to cope with. Walking down Langon Street was quiet and quick. The store is kinda secreted in the basement. Nice little deli and convenience store. The gal that waited of me was very nice and laughed at my attempt at humor. The store had everything a college student could ever need. A functional deli was on hand to make, what I hear, great sandwiches. I REALLY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! They have the BEST sandwiches in the WHOLE city of Madison. I’m not kidding. This place is a true gem in the heart of “FRAT ROW” (Langdon Street). It is a mini-market that has everything you need to survive. There’s no need for you to go to a big super-market, waste your time and money. Keep it simple and support your local business. Their breakfast sandwiches are completely out of this world..You can choose from a wide variety of ingredients too. I should’ve grabbed two instead of one last time I was there. Great music selection every time I go in there. The staff is real nice and helpful. To be honest I'm a little biased in favor the store because a good friend works here. But I'm not just saying these things. Pricing is on the higher end for the Madison area but not for downtown. I don't know if it's considered to be on campus or not but if not it's right next to it.
