Kitty's Cafe — Restaurant in Magnolia

We where in town for the Renaissance Festival, and decided we would try a local place for breakfast, big mistake. We came on Saturday morning at 8:45. Most of the tables where full with locals. We where told by our hotel owner after we ate here, that locals come here to gossip. My mother and I had the 1 egg 1 meat breakfast option, which comes with choice of potatoes, home fries or hashbrowns and toast or biscuit. My father had the 2 eggs one meat. During our wait we noticed that they had quite few takeout customers, whom our waitress appeared to be charged with. We waited for our food for 30 minutes at the least and the last ten minutes of that, our food sat in their kitchen window without a heat lamp. Since our waitress was too busy chatting and appeared to be taking care of the takeout customers, our food continued to sit in the kitchen window. I guess it didn't occur to the other waitress that maybe she should help out, because she was standing next to the window and let our food sit there while she chatted with the customers sitting at the counter, and when she went the kitchen window she would grab the food sitting behind ours and take it to her customers. Finally our waitress asked the other waitress to help her out. The other waitress then went to the window and reached past our food and grabbed the food for another table that had no one sitting at it, which was our waitresses table. Finally after the table with no occupants got their food, the other waitress delivered ours. Which needless to say was ice cold, we politely asked them to take it back and microwave it, at this point we could have and should have asked them to remake it, because after going into the back and waiting another ten minutes the food still...

This is the third problem I have had at Kitty's and it's always service related. Yesterday went in, finally got some service by a very overly round 19 year old waitress that took my order and then decided to go on break. I see people around me that came in after me getting their food. So I asked this other waitress where mine was, the waitress, and she said she went on brake. I should have just walked then but I'm older with more patience and realize all these service places have bottom of the barrel help these days. A couple of months ago my buddy and I were in there and he ordered the two taco breakfast plate. One taco with bacon and one with sausage. The bill came and was for two dollars more because they said he had got bacon and sausage on both tacos which he did not. The manager even refused to change the bill even after showing her a picture of a previous bill for the exact same order. Oh and she's another older very rotund waitress. Then about four months ago I go into Kitty's and sit and sit and sit, again showing great patience, and finally the older also and yet still again, rotund, waitress comes over and says have you been helped. I said well there's no glass or cup on the table, there's no menu on the table and there is no set-up, fork, knife, napkin, on the table so the obvious answer is no I have not been helped. The waitresses there are the worst but I must say the food is damn good because you have to be wondering why I would ever return. Well Sunday is chicken and dumplings special and I really like that. Unfortunately I won't be back and that makes me sad. Think I'll wait a year then test them again. Hopefully there will be 100% turnover with regards to the...

I understand that this place has been here for a long time and I understand that there are people that have been coming here their entire lives..I get it! But this place is just downright filthy. And you people who go here and write nice reviews you know this is to be true.. How could you not??? Today we pulled up around 2 ordered off the steam table walked over to get our salad and I had to swipe a baby roach off the salad table.. Yep your read that right.. Straight onto the floor with a pack of saltines.. told the waitress she acted like she has never seen a roach in the place before.. "Oh really a roach".. "Ya but I took care of it for you".. The food was cold the cabbage and broccoli was absolutely tasteless and the place is just dirty, filthy the floors the bathroom the ceiling... Good Lord I could go on..I went to the restroom and was like this is the last time I'm ever coming here.. Clean this place up just because it's old doesn't equate to it having to be a filthy cobweb dusty bathrooms never mopped toilets never cleaned roach infested place now does it? Totally lost my appetite.. And I do realize there are other places to go eat and from this point on believe me I will. Just keeping it real unlike these...
