Bottom line: This restaurant is not ideal for picky kids and those who seek a quality dining experience without feeling ripped off due to the 18% mandatory tip and "additional" tips. I visited this restaurant yesterday for dinner with my family. The owner lady said that there would be an additional 18% service charge even though we were 4 (previously they did this for a company of 5 or more guests. Now they seem to be applying the rule to any number of diners). We were super hungry and didn't want to hop over to another sushi restaurant. So, we stayed there for the all-you-can-eat option. The menu was a bit disappointing because they removed the free sashimi option that is available when ordering rolls, and some appetizer options (calamar rings, shrimp tempura, etc. - these are what my kids like to eat, but I guess they got rid of them to save money. Given that they charge $15 for each kid between 3 and 9 for all-you-can-eat, I don't think this is great at all.). Sushi rolls were okay although rolls had a bit thick layer of rice. However, there was only one server, the owner lady and she was somehow busy looking into some kinds of documets while we were dining. The first batch order was pretty quick, but for the second and third orders, she almost forgot us. For the second, I had to walk to the sushi man to order more rolls and for the third, she didn't even notice that I placed a ordering sheet on the table and in a while she took it. At the time when I received the bill I got super aggravated by the fact that I was charged 18% for the terrible service and that the bill was asking me to put "additional tips". The bottom line is that this restaurant is not ideal for picky kids and those who seek a quality dining experience. I will never go to this restaurant from now on. Hopefully those who read this review won't make a mistake of using this restaurant. They are a ton of other sushi all-you-can-eat restaurants than...
Read moreI visited this place last year, the experience wasn't what expected although the byob was great. We kind of felt rushed and felt we weren't really wanted there, besides the food took up to an hour with no one else in the restaurant. Yesterday I decided to give it another shot, maybe there were new employees. Unfortunately, the same lady that helped us last time was still there. I walked in to a sushi Chef sleeping on the counter and wasn't acknowledged by the lady until 5 minutes after I walked in. Not a great start but I was like eh whatever. I was sat down and ask for an ayce sushi menu and I was waiting for my wife and daughter. The sushi chef was sleeping on the counter for the next 15 minutes. After we stated only one of us were eating the ayce, she rudely said all of us needed to have the ayce not only one. I mean my daughter is only 4 years old... I'm never coming back to this place, I don't understand why they haven't shut down their doors. It's a beautiful surrounding area, give another...
Read moreHorrible service! First of all, we got there before 8:30 pm (they close at 9:30) and the lady that attended us made us feel not wanted. Didn’t offer all you can eat, when that’s what they advertise all over the place. When we asked about it, the lady said they can only offer us all you can eat if both, my gf and I, do it. Mind you, we have eaten here before and that absurd rule was never mentioned nor applied previously. The lady just didn’t want to do her Job. We decided to stay, and we both ordered all you can eat. But the service was horrible. The lady’s besides manner was nonexistent, and again, made us feel not wanted. When we wanted to order another item from the menu, the same lady acted annoyed. We left the place within 30 minutes and didn’t even finish our meal due to the bad service. Left no tip, and she acted surprised. Tips are earned, not required, and the lady barely did her job. Do yourself a favor and choose another sushi place that wants to attend their customers how they’re...
