Lopez Mexican Food (Previously The Loco Frijole) — Restaurant in Mammoth Lakes

I have to be blatantly honest cold hearted due to the facts. I will never eat at this place ever again the food was horrible it literally had a taste of soap in all the food. The only good thing if anything was the salsa and chips but hell if you mess that up your brain dead. Of all the choices in and near Mammoth we chose the worst supposed authentic Mexican food restaurant I've ever been to and I've got some decent experience due to growing up in orange county hub central of delicious Mexican food. Lopez fix your restaurant or close down. Sad fact that your trying to twist this honest review of your establishment and manipulate my review by assuming I ordered a salad is ridiculous. Nowhere on my review did I state I had a salad. Oh I feel bad for you instead of changing and fixing the issue you subverted to twisting a fact while trying to defend yourself. Furthermore it isn't a subjective opinion two other members of my party felt exactly the same with there meals they ordered a strong taste of dish soap in everything from the burrito to the two steak fajita plates we ordered. Unfortunately, the food was marginal. At best. The. Sunday Menudo is usually outstanding extremely flavorful. But this time ordered the. Pozole and it had very very large chunks of pork and it had Had the tripe bone in the bowl!

The place was busy, but my wife ordered two plain tacos and it took 45 minutes. And they completely forgot about my tortillas.

Plus the two children and as cute as they were, we’re running around up and down between the tables with their dog.

Sadly, I’m a bit disappointed there not many restaurants. Left in Mammoth better remotely even close...

Honestly surprised by how good the food was considering we were the only customers there at the time! I got the carne asada plate which was grilled to perfection with a crisp but still juicy and thick enough cuts. Loved the Jamaica agua Fresca. My partner got a michelada which was also massive and delicious. Complimentary chips and salsa as well. Wanted to give this place a shoutout so they can get more customers in the future since everyone seems to congregate at the brewery...
