Really strange experience on New Years with the first waitress/waiter and hostess we had. It’s not very clear upon arrival what to do, so my partner and I went to the sports lounge and sat in the big booth since we were expecting the rest of our group to join us in an hour. The waitress immediately rushes to us, tells us to leave and go to the host stand. We did so, and the hostess was so quiet neither me or my partner could hear what she was saying. When we told her we were expecting more people, the hostess ended up putting us back in the first booth that we sat ourselves in! A few minutes later, the first waitress and the waiter with the tablet (not sure why you need two people with one ordering tablet doing the work, unless they are in training) and she says “oh they’re back!” really loud. I then tell her “Yeah, the hostess sat us here.” She immediately apologized and asked us for our drink orders. I get it, it’s NYE and you don’t want be at work, honestly I wouldn’t either. Food was okay, my partner got the stout burger with fries, and I had the kids meal chicken strips. It was alright. Nothing to complain about. After an hour, our other party comes, and the waitress and waiter come up to us and immediately tell us that our section is closed, and told us that the manager told them to “clean it up and get them out.” Really weird, I don’t know why anyone would talk to customers in this manner unless you know them personally or work at a shabby dive bar. Our party moved to the bar section, and our second waitress was great! Very friendly and attentive. We ordered the blue tower drink, and it tasted very sweet (and probably didn’t have much alcohol in it)but it was still good. The games were the best thing about the whole experience, paid $25 for my card and my friends and I had a blast. The video and arcade games were a huge hit, including the ski ball , Tomb Raider, and Fruit ninja. Super fun. Didn’t get very many tickets for what I purchased. The woman at the prize section said that for every 100 tickets, it’s worth $1. We finished with 190 tickets in total, so essentially $25=$1. It was still very fun to play everything. I’d also like to point out, that after 9pm there were several little kids still running around the arcade. If Dave and busters had a policy that after 9:00 pm anyone under 18 needs to leave, the adult scene would be very fun. It’s very awkward drinking alcohol and playing a racing game with a 7 year old child that you don’t know eating candy and watching you at 11:00 pm. All in all we’ll come back because of the games, but the service was very strange. It sounds like Dave and Busters needs to pay their workers more and give them more benefits, if they did this I guarantee their workers would be happier and in a better mood while working there. I could feel the dread in the room by the staff when I was there and I honestly felt bad. Maybe put some more money into your employees instead of professional printed signs that say “please be kind! There’s a national labor shortage!” (When it actuality there isn’t). Also, bathrooms were gross af. I literally walked into the women’s, saw some horrible things + 10 teenagers sitting on the ground next to the sink, turned back around and went into the men’s. ☠️ To the company, you don’t have to worry about replying and giving me a link to click on to contact them, I won’t take the time out of my...
Read moreWhere do I begin... if you're thinking of going here to eat and play, don't waste your time. They no longer offer the eat and play option. The menu is now scaled back, due to covid so I understand, but the food is lacking big time. We picked 2 appetizers. One being the truffle fries and the other the flat bread pizza. The fries were cold and soggy when they arrived to our table and they were super oiled down with the truffle oil. The flat bread pizza was good though. It was hot and cheesy. Our server Jake was very nice and answered our questions we had. Since the covid thing is still happening, they no longer offer menus. They have a qr code that you scan with your phone. So make sure you bring your phone in with you. Now for the game side....you're lucky if half of the games work. They take your money but don't allow you to play them. If you're into pressing your luck, you can get someone over to your game of choice that isn't working to fix it. Which is great, but whatever tickets you would of received you can't get cause the technician swiped his card and put in his numbers. So technically, the technician has your tickets, my tickets, that guy over there tickets and so forth. Betcha he could buy everything in the shop 10x and still have tickets left over. Speaking of tickets, they now put the tickets on your card. So don't throw your card away after you use the money on it, cause that's how you get your cheap toys. As for the cards, they make you pay an activation fee of $3 on top of the money you put on it. So once again, if you're planning on returning, don't throw those cards away. There needs to be someone walking around monitoring the guests as a lot of people just let their children run wild. Honestly, if I wanted to be around children running around causing a ruckus, I would of went to Chuck E. Cheese. Which I know that it's not D&Bs fault. So in hindsight, this place is a bust. Save your money or go...
Read moreWhat a GAS this place is!! Restaurant/bar/game room with table & bar seating on the right side entry, and a huge game room & more bar seating on the left side entry. You can access either side. We didn’t taste their food, but an informative bartender told me the food was good.
This place has some of the most crazy interactive gaming machines I’ve ever seen. There is no pinball, much to our disappointment- however the other games will certainly keep you on your toes! Huge 8-foot screens. A huge Galaga machine. Huge Candy Crush. Games you sit in and as you play the seats move around, making you feel like you’re ‘there’!! Motorcycle, shooting, hoops, crazy games you’d never think of.
You come up to a kiosk on the way into the gaming area, and buy a credit card which holds credits. To play, you tap your credit-loaded card against the game’s lit-up screen banks and the game beeps- and you’re playing. Follow instructions on screen, or do what we did and WING IT!!
We put about $60 on our card. Two of us, playing 2 at a time in each game, and we easily played for nearly two hours.
The kids love it until after 9pm then they’re shuffling out. You can have an alcoholic beverage while you play. The bar has a large selection. We had a Mich Golden Draft and a Modelo Especiale.
You purchase a card and put some money on it, and it serves as your ‘ticket’ to each game there. Some (or most) games, when you win, will return the credits back to the card for seamless playing. I thought that was really cool. A large shop at the end of the store held trinkets you could buy in return for your points won. We had 1200 credits left and bought a small lighted mirror! It said batteries included and indeed one was. However the mirror did not work. Maybe a new battery.. Overall a great date night out for ALL ages. Thanks Dave & Busters in...
