This location is a constant crapshow. Being one of the group of human beings who have a genetic predisposition to think that cilantro tastes like soap, I avoided Chipotle for a long time because their rice contains cilantro. Someone told me that you can ask for plain white rice and I was super excited.
I love Chipotle; what I don’t love is this location. They very rarely have plain white rice available, but you don’t know that until you wait in line for 15 minutes and ask for it. I was there 1-1/2 hours before close and watched the counter person talk to the cook to see if they had plain white rice. He said no. She then asked if he could make it. He thought for a few seconds and gave a small shake of his head. I would get it if it was near closing time, but it wasn’t. It wasn’t that he COULDN’T make it - he just didn’t WANT to. I have no problem waiting for plain rice. I get that’s it’s out of the norm. It was just so obvious that he couldn’t be bothered to make an extra effort. As we do whenever they don’t have plain white rice, we left without ordering.
On the other hand, the Maplewood Mall Chipotle always has plain white rice, they are efficient, and they genuinely care about their customers. At this point, we don’t even try this location - we drive the extra 10 minutes to go to a REAL Chipotle. Extra kudos to the red headed manager - she always goes...
Read moreBUGS IN MY BOWL. When I get a bowl from Chipotle and I open it and the first thing I see is a bug in my cheese. I refuse to eat something with bugs in it so I called the restaurant. A girl answered and refused to do anything told me take it up with corporate and said there isn't anything we can do. So I drove to the restaurant set my bowl on the counter pulled out the bug and showed it to them and they said okay we will refund absolutely no apology from anyone as the girl who answered the phone hides behind the corner staring at me. Most employees here have horrid customer service attitudes as when I politely as for extra cheese they all act like I am inconveniencing them for extra cheese, I've even gotten an eyeroll from a female employee who works there when I asked for extra cheese. It's not like I am asking for extra meat. One girl when I asked for Pico on the side when I didn't get any on my bowl she told me next time ask for it in line or we will charge you. The girl clearly has no idea how to do her job or even be kind. I will be taking this up with corporate even though I got my refund because bug's in food is a health hazard. So this restaurant will be reported to corporate for being unprofessional, unsanitary and just no customer service...
Read moreI never write these but I had to warn people that this is the worst Chipotle location ever. Ordering online is a nightmare. From quarter portions to missing items, all the way to giving me a burrito bowl when I ordered a burrito BOWL. (I AM A CELIAC!!!)
Even going in person is bad, it's messy even when it's not in a rush, their hot sauces gave me food poisoning, there's a funny taste in their water.
But here is what takes the cake! I went to Chipotle and ordered mild salsa on the side because I got it for free at THIS location and other locations. When I got to the check out and after I swiped my rewards card, I heard that it was $13/42 which is more then the steak bowl I got. I asked why and it was because of the sides. The employee grabbed my card and swiped it before I could ask to take if off and when I asked for them to refund the item, they REFUSED!!! He said it was too bust when there were only 3 people in line behind me.
Two week later and hours of trying to contact "real people" I got a drink when I only really wanted the points back. I will note that I have definitive proof that the "real people" I was talking to is a bunch of bots...
