The Wife & I started a new thing. We said that for every time we stopped by the Maplewood Mall. We would try a new flavor of rolled up ice cream from Wonders. Our first few experiences were great, apart from the long wait times due to there always being only one staff member working the booth.
Our most recent order, we had ordered 2 small cups. The Sour Tang (Strawberry & Mango) and the Pink Melon (Watermelon). On this day, there were two staff members working and we still waited about 20 minutes for our order. The lady who took our order & made the order, handed us the Pink Melon and it felt like a larger cup to me. When I asked her where our Sour Tang was, she showed us the receipt she had (because I didn't recieve my own copy). The receipt she showed us, charged us approxiamately $8 for a regular cup for Pink Melon only. When we sat down to eat the ice cream, it tasted nothing like watermelon. Tasted more like pink lemonade. And the ice cream wasn't nice and soft like the other ones we had tried previously. It was very flaky. 😐
When we got home. I checked my bank statement and we were charged $13 for our Wonders ice cream. Meaning that she gave us the wrong order, cause 2 small cups cost around $6. But really? How can she mess up? We were first in line before everyone else and when she handed us our cup, she was so certain it was our order. 😑
Overall, we'll probably avoid stopping by Wonders if it's not the "man with the reverse cap" that's working cause even though he works slower. He gets it right. ✅

Read moreMy kids love watching them make rolled ice cream so we usually will go to Wonder’s, but the service here was not good at all. Maybe it was just the worker there today, but she completely ignored me and my kids as we stood by at the front counter. I watched her as she made two ice cream cups for apparently no one as we were the only ones there. I assumed maybe someone ordered for pick-up? We stood there for almost 10 minutes. I had 5 kids with me. After a few minutes they all had already chosen their order, but the worker did not even turn around to greet us. She walked by us and continued making ice cream and completely ignored us. When she finished making one cup she just put it in the freezer and continued to make more rolled ice cream. After 10 minutes I told my kids we should just go get ice cream elsewhere because apparently she was too busy to serve us. It would have been nice if she at least greeted us and told us to wait a bit. Probably will not be going back again to...
Read moreNot worth the hype. It's just one flavor of ice cream (whether it's vanilla, chocolate, caramel, etc) and a single brownie bite you can buy at any grocery store, or 4 to 6 gummie worms, raspberries, teddy grahams, and a drizzle of sauce for 8 to 13 dollars. Since the cream needs to chill to a specific temp to roll it off the griddle, it's actually too thick and hard for any plastic spoon to dig into right away so you're either biting off chunks or just waiting for the ice cream to soften and melt into it's normal scoop puddle. The cream they use is too sweet too, I had gut rot within a few bites and didn't finish it. Just buy your own ice cream and ingredients and make several servings for the same cost. Or spend the same amount for a restaurant...
