STAY AWAY FROM THIS STARBUCKS LOCATION! I've been a 20+ year gold card customer of Starbucks in the Montgomery County area and this is the first time I'm writing a negative review about a Starbucks store. I've had problems doing business at this store in particular over the years from poor service, bad attitude and improper training and in my first time back to this store in over a year had a terrible ordeal nightmare situation.
When employee didn't know how to save my order to reload my gold card I called for supervisor Mima who took my $20 bill without keying in the amount on purchase when I asked to load $5, then forgets what I gave her, then can't find the transaction on her registers and can't open her registers to give me proper $15 change all while having a nasty attitude. After this gets worse and the manager Ace is witnessing the situation I had to ask repeatedly for his assistance when as GM he wasn't able to find the transaction and forced me to wait in the store 30" to count his till in order to give me my proper change. How is it possible a supervisor and GM cannot find transactions on their registers from 5" ago when they're staring at my receipt??
To top it off, he doesn't post his District Manager's business card as is corporate policy and when I ask for name and number of his DM he refuses telling me to call the (800) number to add to my ordeal. It's not till I get his DM's name JR from another store manager that he relents and gives me his card he keeps in his office. He doesn't have his own cards. I call to report to JR who can't keep basic facts of the matter straight after speaking with his store GM and continues claiming he's not required to have his card on display against corporate policy. He doesn't have the decency to offer thanks for the hour of my time to escalate to his attention nor offer any consideration for the 2-hour ordeal on my Saturday afternoon. He is clearly not fit to be DM when there is basic mismanagement at his store!
Starbucks has missed this store for basic operational requirements that all retail stores must be able to maintain. AVOID THIS STARBUCKS - THERE ARE BETTER STARBUCKS...
Read moreMe and my wife had a horrible and unpleasant experience yesterday at this location. We went there yesterday (12/12/18) around 9:30pm. And a great deal of inconveniences just started to happen. As we approached the register we weren’t greeted by Kim the cashier. She then took our order and didn’t give us our receipt . After a few minutes I noticed that my 2 year old daughter was asking for her cake pop. Kim delayed in giving her the pop. While waiting on the drinks, I ordered a Cranberry Bliss Tray. I asked for a bag since she didn’t offer one. Then she hands me the bag for me the customer to put it in myself again not having the common courtesy to do it for the customer. Then I got my drink. After waiting and waiting my wife noticed that her drink hasn’t been called yet. She approached the register and asks why the delay and Kim said “Oh he (Hamadu) didn’t make it yet? Didn’t give us a single apology. Then my wife noticed that the couple that came after us got their drinks immediately while her drink wasn’t made yet. Read moreI visited during late morning on a Saturday, which means it was busy. There were 4 team members on the floor - one was cleaning up a spill, one behind the register and 2 baristas. I ordered a skinny cinnamon dolce latte and a classic oatmeal. Neither was very good. In fact, the drink had so much milk it it I could barely taste the cinnamon or the coffee. My oatmeal was drowning in water and I asked that they remake with slightly less water. The result was not enough water and the oatmeal was a chunky pasty mess. Since I had an appointment I was running late for I didn't addres either at the time. I drank the coffee, but after my appointment I went back to address the issue with my $4 oatmeal. The manager was very nice and made another since I was hungry. It was perfect. I've visited this Starbucks in the past with no issues, so this is likely a one off.
