Five Guys — Restaurant in Maryland

I ordered two milkshakes (one chocolate and one chocolate, strawberry and banana) here and noticed that the chocolate was way to rich and didn’t seem thoroughly mixed. I attempted to tell the one young lady in the red that was making them that they were too rich but she had already started to put whipped cream on one so I didn’t want to waste that one (I took that one for myself) but I know my 9 month pregnant daughter absolutely would not like the other one as it was totally over chocolatey too. The younger lady finally turned around and when I told her it was too rich, she got an attitude and started slamming the whipped cream can and other items and walked away from the milk shake machine. The young female manager in a black shirt was listening because she was at the register and spoke to the Hispanic female. The manager was irritated and also had attitude and was slamming items including the whipped cream canister while she made me another chocolate shake. She nastily tried to explain why the shake was so rich but after she she was so unprofessional, I ignored her and simply told her that it was too rich to drink. She handed me the shake and my daughter enjoyed the one the manager made even though I should have given it ALL back gotten a total refund and walked away due to bad and immature plus TOTALLY unprofessional service! However, while on my way home drinking the chocolate/strawberry/banana shake, it was truly awful. All I could taste/chew thru my straw was bananas/strawberries )not well blended). The shake was syrupy and not a lot of milk/ice/cream at all. All in all, this was a wasted visit and a waste of $11+ as the staff are unprofessional and untrained with horrible customer service! I plan on sharing this horrible experience with these snotty little brats with corporate. I won’t be visiting here again! This particular location was terrible! I should have known service was horrible when the customer before me was trying to give back $4 because one of the cashiers couldn’t count and over paid him his change and that same manager was causing a scene about it!!! Really, the man was trying to GIVE THE MONEY...

Five guys is a staple in the area, but this location in particular offers very high quality with great speed and service. The staff is younger than most, but don't be fooled - they're very knowledgeable about the menu, and can complete large orders without mistakes in record time.

On average, it takes about 5 minutes to get a small order placed in person when there's no rush. They make everything fresh here in small batches (some locations, contrary to policy, will cook the fries in advance, so by the time you get them they're lukewarm).

Overall I was surprised and impressed by my experience. They get five stars because I can't think of a way they could improve... As a chain there are some things I might do, but this location itself is a good example of "The Five Guys...

Graciela was wonderful and on top of it. I made an order online and when the website stated my payment didn't go thru, my NFCU notification came saying I was charged for said order. I called immediately and was told sometimes it takes 5min for online ordering to process. Came to store about 30min after placing. No confirmation number, just website asking me to order again. AGAIN. I showed Graciela the notification on my phone confirming time of order and she happened to be same woman the fielded my call prior to arrival. She recreated the order onsite and 10min later, lunchtime. Thank u so much Graciela, I really thought it was gonna be a blood pressure raising ordeal and you alleviated it without the bat of an eye. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for you!! Oh, and...
