Finding your way to Three’s Bar & Grill is definitely tight when you’re dealing with an already packed parking lot. Luckily no matter what time you come. You’re bound to come across someone leaving or an open stall when you least expect it. Even if you have to circle the lot a few times. At least we got lucky & landed one on our first round.
Either way, I was just enjoying the view. I absolutely love coming across these hidden gems surrounded by greenery. Plus the tall trees are not only beautiful to look at but also great for providing shade during these hot times. Even the cute little shops in the area made it fun for walking around too.
As for my first time stepping foot inside Three’s Bar & Grill. I thought the vibe was super cute & laidback. Which for first impressions I was actually surprised as to how fast we were seated. From the moment we arrived to waiting only a few seconds before we were greeted at the hostess stand. We were also given the option to sit inside or outside. This time I chose inside just so I could hide from the sun. Since I fry faster then anyone I know.
We also made it just in time for happy hour & ordered: 2 coconut crusted fish tacos, whole wheat flatbread salad, hurricane fries, coconut crusted shrimp, garlic fried noodles, crispy pork belly, bacon brussels sprouts & 3 top shelf mai tais.
I didn’t try everything that we ordered but I can say the Hurricane Fries were delicious. I enjoyed the hint of spice from the sauce. Plus I loved the crunchy texture from the mochi. Definitely a fun starter & something I’d always be down to order.
I was also surprised on how big the Whole Wheat Flatbread Salad was. The size was big enough for me to split into 3 separate snacks. Also the hummus & flatbread was my favorite part. The salad on top was just an added bonus.
The best part of the Garlic Fried Noodles were the ones on the bottom of the plate smothered in that spicy sesame sauce. However I think I might want to try mixing the noodles with the brussels next time. Cause bacon fried brussels are always good & I’m guessing it will enhance anything I add them to.
I have to be honest though I was never a big Mai Tai fan. But it’s been awhile so I figured I’d give Three’s top shelf version a try. I did stir my drink to get a better blend. However I was happy I actually enjoyed it & ended up drinking two.
Overall I enjoyed myself & would love to come back one day to maybe try out their outside seating. Until...
Read moreI am absolutely appalled at our experience at Three’s. Please keep in mind reading this review that this is an excellent restaurant with amazing food. One server ruined it for us.
We came in for lunch on Easter Sunday. My son and husband ordered burgers right away as they were hungry. The server said she would come back for my order shortly. She proceeded to serve every other guest and not come back to take my order. I proceeded to place my order with the manager instead.
The order came out. The chicken fingers were literally FROZEN in the middle. I sent them back no problem stuff happens. The server assured us she would be back to take my order right away considering my food was inedible. We watched her as she went about her business not coming back to our table ONCE.
I was frustrated and found a server to ask for our bill. At this point I am starving and just wanting to leave.
The sever comes over and I said we want our bill you literally ignored us after finding out my food was inedible. She has the AUDACITY to say I’ve been back twice already and you ordered nothing.
This was an all out LIE! My husband and I could not believe it. If she said she had been back once I would have forgiven it thinking in her busy mind she just thought she had been back to our table but had not. To say TWICE when she had NOT been back once is unbelievable. What is even more unbelievable is that when we said no you in fact have not been back ONCE, she then started to argue with us saying no I have been back twice and then left our table in the rudest way.
I asked for the manger of course to explain the situation. The server came back to our table I told her we would let the manager take it from here. She gave a half hearted rude not really apology not owning up to anything and still blaming us.
We told her again she had lied about two times at our table she again denied it.
Thank goodness for the kind manger who comped most of our bill, heard our story and saved the day. He is amazing. The sever on the other hand was absolutely vile and should not have a job in the...
Read moreWhat an incredible start to our Hawaiian culinary journey! My wife and I are here for a wedding, and we knew we had to dive into the local flavors. Three's Bar & Grill, a spot we'd seen on Triple D, was our first stop, and it certainly didn't disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the experience was fantastic. The hostess was incredibly kind and welcoming, quickly seating us even without a reservation. We were lucky enough to get Maria, who turned out to be the best waitress! We also hit happy hour, which was a huge bonus since everything on Oahu can be a bit pricey. We kicked things off with two Top Shelf Mai Tais, made with Don Q rum, guava, pineapple, orgeat, lime, and a Kraken rum float. At $9.50 each during happy hour, they were an absolute steal and utterly delicious – just be mindful if you're driving! For food, we decided to try a variety of happy hour appetizers. The Crispy Pork Belly was amazing. These large cuts of bacon came with a vibrant green papaya salad, chili gastrique, mac nuts, onion, and herbs. Seriously, don't skip the "salad noodles" underneath; they're packed with flavor. Next up were the Kaua'i Pork Nachos – fresh tortilla chips loaded with guacamole, cilantro aioli, tomato, jalapeño, and a drizzle of truffle oil. They were fantastic, super crunchy, and the chips stayed crisp the whole time. Our least favorite, but still good, was the Garlic Fried Noodles with crispy garlic ramen noodles, green onion, and spicy sesame soy. Overall, it was a truly great experience, and our waitress, Maria from Colombia, was an absolute delight – so kind and helpful. We're already planning a second trip back with more friends from the wedding party! If you're thinking of going, I'd definitely recommend making reservations, or at least eating early. If not, the hostess will still make you feel welcome and do her best to seat you quickly, though larger groups might have a...
