I read reviews and look at photos left by Google reviewers like me and you all the time before going to an establishment. This restaurant was no exception, especially since it was out of town. Everything looked good when we did our research for this restaurant; the pictures showed a cozy and inviting atmosphere, delicious looking food with great reviews, and supposed excellent service. Turns out all the reviews and photos I am referring to are pre pandemic, when this place was obviously doing much better. It is definitely not like that anymore. It's run down, and the food is mediocre at best. I wish this business the best, but I would not refer someone here.

This place has wonderful Thai food! Been going here ever since my college days and the food stayed consistently tasty and affordable. The portions are large so if you come hungry you will leave satiated. Their hot tea is also of note. When asked what kind it is they said they blend their own of oolong, Jasmine and Thai teas. Their Pad Kee Mao is unmatched and the calamari is never rubbery. Worth the hour long drive and hands down my favorite Thai restaurant. The service is decent but the food usually comes out quickly.

This restaurant is not recommended. The food is not very good. The curry is the thickness of broth and lack flavor. The pad Thai has a strange salty, sour flavor that gets stronger the more you eat. Along with that the service is non-existent. You order at the front, serve your own water, and clean your own table. Cleaning the table isn't tough since the food is served in take out boxes with disposable utensils. Overall a disappointing experience.

Well traditionally I don't give too many poor reviews but I'm hoping this one will connect with the owners of Thai Country. I've lived in McMinnville for over 20 years and have eaten here many many times. I've also traveled extensively and love good Thai food. I heard a comedian once say you can't really give a well reasoned review unless you've had that food or dish 100 times. So in that regard I'm 100% there. Thai Country has never been great although it was better in the past. Now it seems they are putting the minimal amount of effort and they are getting older... so I get it. There's no passion for the food or service. There's a feeling of inertia carrying the restaurant forward to eventually closing in a sad way. The food is bland and if you eat inside it's now served in to go containers. Here's my suggestion.... and I make this out of love for the people that opened this restaurant up and have since lost their way. Sell the restaurant!!! Sell it to people who love Thai food and want great Thai food to be in McMinnville. Your restaurant could be a gold mine even if it doesn't seem like it now. I'm guessing Thai Country in the hands of passionate people could transform it into a wonderful addition to town. Please do this and take that money and retire. It's time. Seriously you could probably use the break. Take up painting. Just stop making me hurt where I could be feeling good in my mouth. The one good thing I can say about you is sometimes I get your food and take it home to fix it. I add ingredients to your large portions to make it much better. I do this because I love Thai food that much and don't want to travel to Portland to enjoy my favorite type of food. Seriously sell the restaurant to people who will treat it like they care. This review is made out of love. Seriously sell the...

The food was fine! The atmosphere itself felt tense and awkward. There wasn’t anyone in the restaurant besides my husband, my sister-in-law and I. Even though it was just us we had to go up and order our food after looking at the menus at our table. There wasn’t any music playing so it was just us in the silent empty dining room while the lady at the counter stayed the entire time and watched us a couple times. What bothered me most was their lack of communication amongst each other. I had ordered a Thai tea with my food. We paid for our food and drinks and sat down at our table. Soon enough the lady walked over with my Thai tea which WAS delicious. About 5 minutes later another woman walked over and gave us another Thai tea. We were confused because we thought that maybe they were just being friendly and giving us another one for free, as my Thai tea was very visible the entire time when she delivered us the other one. To our surprise, she comes over to give us our appetizers and notices that she gave us another one even though I already had mine. Some time goes by and after giving us our entrees she gives us a bill for the OTHER Thai tea that we didn’t even ask for. I was a little irritated because we had already spent $80 with tip on our meals and drinks just to be charged $5.50 for THEIR lack of communication and observation to the Thai tea that was clearly already on the table. Thankfully they brought the price down to $3.00 instead, but it bothered all of us that we had to pay for their mistake. We won’t be dining in again. Not even sure if we will be eating their food again. It was a very disappointing first...

We gave them two more opportunities to make things right I need to get back to making Thai food. It’s not disgusting and overpriced and they blew it both times with poor service. Lousy food greasy food don’t waste your money don’t waste your time there’s plenty of other good food in this town I don’t know what happened but they never got their ish together after the pandemic. Totally a bummer I wish them the best but it’s way too expensive for mediocre. No bad food. We did our due diligence my family will not be dining with them ever again.

Have had Great Food from these guys several times since we moved to Yamhill Co last year, but we were served the Absolute WORST Thai Food I’ve ever come across in a lunch to go order yesterday. It was during main part of lunch rush and there were several orders being picked up when I pick ours up. Spent nearly $50 on lunch and sadly ended up with food that should never have been served to humans. No joke, besides the rice, the entrees were not edible. Thai Country - what is up???? Not sure if there is a mgmt issue or other employee problems - but the drastic drop in quality was alarming and def a bummer for my family. We just don’t have the disposable income to eat out often and when the experience is this poor, it’s hard to say we will be back. That said, We very much hope these guys figure out their issues and can right the ship, because they were previously a bright spot for Thai food in...
